Rabbits are not rodents!
*fairly long post about animal cranial anatomy*
Contrary to common belief, rabbits and hares (Leporidae), together with pikas (Ochotonidae), do not belong to the order of rodents; They are, instead, lagomorphs.
I wonāt dwell on behavioral or dietary differences, but I will show you a small detail of the skull that makes them distinguishable at a glance. First, letās see if you can spot it yourself!
Got it? The answer lies in the incisors. While rodents have a single upper pair, often (but not always) colored red or orange - lagomorphs have two pairs of incisors in the upper jaw.
These teeth are called peg teeth, and they help them grind fibrous food.
I had so much fun making this post š„¹ I hope you like it, maybe let me know if you would like more
All my fellas love bats š£ļø
Species: Hypsignathus monstrosus, Pteropus vampyrus, Rousettus leschenaultii, Nanonycteris veldkampii, Myotis chinensis, Rhinolophus luctus, Hipposideros armiger, Phyllostomus discolor, Megaderma lyra, Eptesicus serotinus
Hereās a display I made for a friend of mine recently, I had a lot of fun with this! I kinda want to make more of these, since it got me to use a bunch of spare bits and pieces I had laying around.
Animal that bothers me while I work
New experiment : This time, I animated on radish slices. Obviously, no waste in the end, we ate the frames
Thought yāall might appreciate tonightās setup (plus kitty). I wanted to put out more skulls but was worried about them getting damaged/stolen so I settled for just the horse!
Hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween š

Hey folks!
I have up to around 7 slots open for commissions with no decorative elements. I suppose these will be the only slots available this year - next booking will be for 2026 commissions.
There are three types available:
classic pet
classic animal
noodlize me
All commissions from this batch will be completed no later than December 15th, so this could be a great opportunity to get a gift for yourself or someone else before the holidays. If you need it by a specific date, just let me know in your email.
I think all the important informations are on the images, but feel free to ask if you have any questions!
To book a slot please email [email protected] with the necessary details.

So I drove an hour to pick up what I thought was a reasonably sized lot of vintage taxidermy books for $20⦠and guys. Itās,, itās a lot of books
oh nooooo my lobster is too butteryyyy
You have to understand, this is the amount of books I thought I was getting
And I was like āyeah I can reasonably fit that on my bookshelf šā
Not complaining because I am absolutely thrilled that I now have all of this vintage taxidermy literature, however I was simply not prepared for the *amount* and my brain is short circuiting LMAO
Ok I need to seriously go through all the magazines a second time but hereās what Iām definitely not keeping, since Iām not huge into fish taxidermy:
If anyone might be interested in these please let me know!!
