A domesticated and heavily modified Terran Battlecruiser from the Affini/Terran war. Now Part Affini tech, Part Terran Tech, and Self Aware.

Upon her inevitable cusp of capture, In a last ditch hail Mary attempt to save its Floret, Foxglove attempted to upload it's emotional memory into the limited banks of her starship, The Nightshade.
When the connection was Inturrupted by the digital sophont who laid siege on The Nightshade, the being that is Not fled to the only place it could find: the vines grafted directly from its owner. It's memory began to take hold, and develop into something new. When a large portion of Foxglove's core was left within the bridge, Not was able to gain a form of sapience.
It is Not.
Not rejected the traditional digital formats of sentience, and instead exists as a hybrid: part data, part emotional memory stored in biology.
The Affini modifications to the shell of the Terran vessel expanded, allowing Not to have stability in itself. The Terran ship still cannot fully hold sentience, but the vines grafted into its hull by Foxglove allowed Not to persist, without a centralized data bank. [It's inspired by the way real life plants can hold emotional memory, like how trees talk to their offspring or how vines interact with the world around them]
Not is still a Floret, owned by Foxglove. It is also a fragment of Foxglove, and still connected to Foxglove's current form: Mycillia {The extent of this connection is still unknown}. Not has a part engineered by Foxglove within her reactor's core that serves the same purpose as a Haustic Implant (though it is quite different than a normal implant, given that Not began as an inanimate object)
Her body is still a mix of Terran and Affini engineering, her computer banks carefully fused to the vines of the ship via a method known only to Foxglove and itself.
