It’s finally over

Each day I get a little bit stronger

A little bit happier

A little bit over you.

Loving you only hurt me, hating you took too much energy out of me.

But now?

I don’t seem to feel anything for you.

And I am fine with that.

Was looking through my old stuff and saw this and I smiled. My hearts come a long way since then.

For what it's worth, you were a good distraction when I needed it. Just a terrible person.

I'm in this weird limbo where I want to cry, but I'm too tired to do so.

Don't ever give a person more energy than they are giving you. You'll be empty before you realize you deserve better.

Struggle.

Do you ever think about why we all struggle so much with negative emotions? It’s because we try not to feel them. We try to put them away, to shove them in some deep dark corner, but every time light hits that corner; it still hurts. The only way to deal with pain, hurt, or any kind of negative emotion is to acknowledge it. To feel it. You let yourself cry your heart out, scream if you want to, punch a pillow maybe, but then think of all the things in your life that you’re grateful for, make a gratitude list maybe, I’m not saying a list will magically cure you, I’m just saying it’ll remind you that there’s good with the bad and that’s just how this life is.

Our problem, as humans is that when we’re upset, we try to look at the bright side. When we’re scared, we push through it. When we’re sad, we try to get over it. We don’t ever stop to think there’s a reason we feel these emotions. It’s not that anyone gets an easy life, devoid of heartbreak, grief and challenges. It’s just that we never focus on that side of things. We think it’s all good. Until it isn’t.

What I’ve come to realise is that negative emotions aren’t good or bad. They’re just a part of life, a part of being human.

All we need to do is to provide space to allow the fact that life is indeed going to be difficult, challenging and incredibly hard sometimes; which leads to uncomfortable or negative emotions. We need to learn to acknowledge, embrace and understand what those emotions are trying to tell us. We need to learn the power and value of those emotions.

If you don’t acknowledge the pain and heartbreak, you will never truly move forward. Distracting yourself from your feelings might seem like the best option right now, but trust me, down the line, that is just going to lead to bigger issues. Give your heart time, and give yourself time. You will heal, I promise you that.

One of the worst things to realize after a heartbreak is that you'll just be another story for them to tell.

So why did I still hope you'd want me and only me the same why that I want you and noone else?

How is it fair that if someone touches me it makes my skin crawl because it's not you, but with you it doesn't matter who it is as long as you get off.

You said you didnt want more, yet you told me you didnt want to be with anyone else.

You said not to do "relationship stuff" yet after making love

Oops, my bad

After having sex you wrap my arms around you and you drift to sleep.

How is it fair that we can both feel things for each other, yet only you are able to shut them down.

It is not.

And I am done.

I hope that girl, the one you said was a mistake, was worth it.

Because I no longer see the worth in seeing you.
