they should make it easier to get bottom surgery
special mention to how the BMI requirements are horrific and they need to go!
I've been thinking a lot lately about how many trans women I've known who come to realize over time that they experience much more bottom dysphoria than they've consciously understood
I think this is partially a problem of trans women being fetishized, a trans woman's value being equated with her penis, but I think it's also partially a problem of availability. personally if something is difficult to attain then I have an internal reflex to unconsciously convince myself I don't want or need it. for this reason and many others it needs to be made easier

PLS END SUMMER already aughhh
all these trans guys whose whole online presence is dedicated to insisting they are neither men nor male in any meaningful sense.. like if I'm believing what you're saying about yourselves then I'm not sure I should even be considering you trans. it sounds like you thought transness would allow you to talk over trans women without any push-back and are now lashing out because whether you're a woman or a man or neither, you are always going to be TME, and you're never getting a free pass for transmisogyny. you can't identify out of responsibility to not be misogynistic towards people further oppressed than you.
you have to actually put in effort to not be misogynistic for your entire life like the rest of us. there is no identity available to release you from the social consequences of enacting & reproducing misogyny. so stop squirming around with all this detrans bullshit & be real with yourself for once in your fucking life.
I'm really sick of all "lesbian inclusion" discourse centering around TME lesbians tbh
Like I don't actually care if you're transmasc or taking T or using he/him or using masc terms while being a lesbian because I don't think any of those things necessarily equate to being a man. But I'm sick and tired of people pretending that lesbian spaces are more hostile to TME butches or enbies than they are to trans women when that's so blatantly not fucking true if you've ever actually looked at a lesbian space
Every lesbian space, even those that self-describe as "trans inclusive", seems to be centered around the comfort and self-expression of TMEs regardless of gender identity without giving even a modicum of consideration to trans woman or anyone else TMA
People have all these thoughts and ideas on their age gap pairs and I'm like what if the younger one made the older one reckon with the passage of time by doing things like call the Nintendo DS "retro"
"That console is older than I am, how is it not retro?"
Which naturally results in a
moment.
ive seen it a few times recently but im really not the biggest fan of ppl hating on fanfiction readers. broadly i tend to think in terms of "getting people to read more", "the way you're reading is wrong" is less useful than "here's something easy to read closer to what you're currently reading that can help you expand and branch out".
plus like, i know plenty of ppl that read maybe 1-2 books a year. plenty of people on tumblr's primary "thing they read" is literally just tumblr posts. and i think fanfiction is a genuine and meaningful step up from that. or like, for someone who doesn't regularly read any prose, i think fanfiction is an excellent way to get back into the habit again.
i think the bigger problem is either "ppl who have built their entire personality and identity around 'fandom'" or "ppl who are uninterested in growing and branching out into new media and art". both rather annoying groups. but the framing as a problem of 'fanfic' i think needlessly presents the position of "not reading" as virtuous, forever a problem of tumblr posts (allowing inaction to be a virtue).
I think we should figure out what age we’re living in now so we can say how it’s collapsing to each other
Our age of plastics is collapsing
Our age of information is collapsing! *remembers generative AI, nods to self* our age of information is collapsing.

bad. bad bad bad.
”this is why you (male) LET women write fantasy: they make men look good”
it's insane how low the bar is for people to get credit as body posi or whatever like straight up entire debate conversations about this where even the staunch 'pro fat' side cannot and will not stake out basic positions like "being fat is not a magical exceptional disease state that converts starvation into a healthful activity"
