The funny thing is that using a brand name requires so much time and labor and money to deal with all the legal bullshit of licensing copyrighted name/logo/brand companies or alternatively, time and labor and consultations with legal advisors to scrutinize the line between homage/satire vs. copyright infringement/defamation and tiptoe carefully alongside it.
And they’re not just tiptoeing around one brand here they’re tiptoeing around TWO. They took the brand name Lowe’s (removed the apostrophe) and gave it the font and colors of competing brand Home Depot:
