What's your biggest kink?
Oh gosh. Um. Being man-handled.
What's your dream job?
Having my own tech startup. Maybe create a series of interactive story apps.
Who is someone in Belle Haven you want to know better?
Kody. I keep meaning to call him.
If you could be any species of Supernatural, which one would you be?
Ooh, that’s a great question. I’d have to say warlock. I’m too squeamish to be a vampire, otherwise I would’ve picked that.
Why do you smile so damn much?
That’s just what my face does when I get nervous. Or you know, happy.
For the next five asks, my muse cannot tell a lie.
Blackout: Noah & Cullen

“Not many are. Keep those eyes on me, okay?” Cullen smiled reassuringly. The doctor grabbed the stool and pulled it right up to Noah’s side. “A few of my siblings hated getting shots. They never bothered me much.” Cullen reached over and grabbed the alcohol soaked cottonball, rubbing it in small circles over Noah’s inner elbow. “I have 6 brothers and sisters. All back in Ireland, if ye were wondering about the accent.” The warlock kept talking calmly, rambling on about his life back home as a way to put the younger male’s mind elsewhere. “All of them are great. I love those crazy kids with all my heart.” Cullen took his eyes off Noah and lined the needle up against his arm. “Sometimes I miss living in a busy house filled with people. Hearing the laughter of people ye love can really brighten the darkest of days.” Cullen moved his gaze away from Noah and back to the needle, pushing the tip into his skin, piercing the vein. He injected the numbing liquid into his system and slipped the needle out with ease, pressing a cotton ball to the bead of blood. “See what wasn’t so bad, was it?”
“Yeah. Okay.” Noah nodded, expelling an unsteady breath at the doctor’s request. He stared almost with too-wide eyes at the man’s face, not at all wanting to see when the needle poked into his arm. He listened to the man speak, aware that it was a distraction tactic, but feeling comforted by the effort. He smiled slightly, soaking up the information about the doctor’s siblings like a sponge, happy to latch onto pleasant thoughts rather than the stinging in his injured arm. “Why’d you move here?” he asked, immediately feeling that it was out of turn for him to respond. When the doctor pressed the cotton ball to his arm, Noah looked down and realized that the sot was over with. He exhaled and his body went a bit lax on the edge of the hospital bed. “Thank God.”

“Oh, I know I will now.” There was no way to go wrong with that mix of ingredients. Fried dough was usually delicious but those brought it to the next level. “Thank goodness.” It was said with a laugh and a touch of dramatic flare. “It has an enzyme in it that ‘eats you back’.” There were even air quotes as he went to lean against the counter, watching Noah order the pizza. It seemed the two of them had quite a bit in common. It was nice to find, especially if it happened repeatedly with the same person. The phone went on the counter after it was handed back and Galen tipped his head. “What do you want to do while we wait? Conversation or finding something on tv?” The warlock was innocent with it, genuinely. He’d asked for a second chance but he’d wait for it.
“What? Pineapples?!” Noah’s brows rose and his mouth fell open in surprise over the little factoid. Apparently he was susceptible to this awful enzyme. “Man, if they ever take over the planet, I guess I’m in trouble.” With the ordering task out of the way, Noah didn’t know what to do with his hands. So he clasped them behind his back for a few moments and rocked on his heels. Then he unclasped them in favor of folding his arms over his chest. “Oh. Um, anything you want. I’m easy.” He nodded, chuckling softly. “TV is great.”

Blackout: Noah & Cullen
reformedhealer:
Rising up from his stool, Cullen took off his gloves and tossed them away, scribbling down some information to Noah’s chart. “I’m going to get what I need to clean up that wound and get you stitched up and on your way. Just put your gauze back on and try to relax, okay? You’re in good hands, Mr. Stevens.” Cullen nodded back at the younger male before stepping out from behind the curtain to grab what he needed for Noah’s laceration. He returned with an overbed table filled with medical supplies to tend to the human’s wound. He pulled on another pair of gloves and removed the gauze from Noah’s arm. “I’m going to give you shot that’s going to numb you and then I’m going to clean out the cut and stitch it up. Do you need a minute or you okay if I start now?”
Noah’s eyes followed the rapid strokes of the doctor’s pen on his chart. He wondered what the other man was writing and also if his handwriting was the typical illegible physician scribble or not. “Um okay.” He did as the handsome doctor said, though it was difficult to follow through on the relaxing part. His eyes widened a little bit when the doctor returned from behind the privacy curtain with tools. At the mention of a needle, Noah swallowed hard and looked at the doctor with big, uncertain eyes. “Uh, I’m not too good with needles.” He admitted with a sheepish flush to his cheeks. “I mean my mom used to hold my hand for them until I was 12 so..”

Galen rubbed a hand through his hair, chuckling lightly at Noah’s obvious shock. “I end up cooking for myself a lot of the time. I eat out, just not all that often.” He shugged and went over to the fridge, grabbing one of the bottles he had in the bottom shelf. “So like bennetts?” Growing up in Louisiana had him eating those as a kid and even now, he went out of his way every full moon to get some. “I have a bit of an addiction to those so if they are even a little the same I will like them.” He laughed a bit as he came to stand besides the other man, smiling. “Get what you want on the pizza. As long as it isn’t pineapple. Might be a deal breaker.” Winking, he pulled out his cell phone. “Maybe not for you.”
“Oh. Yeah. Just like those,” Noah nodded enthusiastically, glad that Galen had a point of comparison for the delicious dessert. To have lived this long and not have experienced the sugary, doughy treat in some variation would have been a sin. “You’ll love them.” Noah promised, smiling a bit more as the warlock came closer to him. “Oh gross. No pineapple. Actually, pineapple makes my tongue itch.” He laughed softly, taking Galen’s offered phone to dial the pizza place. “Well, thank you. It’s nice to be an exception to the rule.” Noah shuffled his feet for the few moments it took for someone to pick up and take his order, then he handed the phone back to Galen. “It should be here in 30 minutes.”
Blackout: Noah & Cullen
reformedhealer:
He didn’t need his warlock’s intuition to sense Noah’s anxiety with having to be in the hospital. It was written all over his face and body language. Cullen looked at the other man’s arm as the gauze was peeled back and he could tell Noah was going to need stitches. He pulled his glasses from his shirt pocket and slipped them on, carefully touching around the wound. “I’m afraid you’re going to need stitches, Mr. Stevens. It’s a deep cut and I don’t think a Hello Kitty band-aid is going to do the trick.” Cullen smiled, hoping a bit of humor would ease the man’s nerves. “Can you tell me how you got the cut exactly?”
Noah looked up at the doctor’s face as the physician inspected his wound. He was hoping to guess what the prognosis was based on the man’s expression, but the other man was too good at the doctor poker face to help him out in that regard. Noah winced as gloved fingers felt around his cut, but he did his best to keep his sounds of discomfort in. Noah could withstand a decent amount of pain usually, but not this kind. “Oh no.” He tried to smile back at the doctor. “No Hello Kitty band-aid? Aw man.” Noah expelled a shaky breath. “Uh, I was heading into my house from my car and when I reached for the front door something flew at me from the neighbor’s yard. The wind was really strong I guess.”
Blackout: Noah & Cullen
reformedhealer:
It wasn’t surprising that Cullen was running on little sleep since the blackout happened. An endless stream of Belle Haven residents flooded into the ER and there didn’t seem to be any signs of slowing down. A nurse came up to him with a clipboard in hand, informing Cullen of his next patient. A man in his 30′s with a laceration on his arm that would most likely need stitches. He pulled open the curtain and saw a nervous looking dark haired male, holding a gauze to his arm with dried blood on his shirt. “Hello, Mr. Stevens. I hope you haven’t been waiting long.” Cullen smiled gently and closed the curtain behind him, pulling a spare stool up to the man’s bedside. He rested Noah’s medical chart on a small table and pulled on a pair of gloves. “How about we see that cut on your arm?”
Noah was in the middle of counting the ceiling tiles over his little triage cubicle when the curtain pulled back and revealed a rather handsome male doctor. He immediately closed his mouth and unintentionally pressed tighter on the gauze, causing him to wheeze. “Hi,” Noah replied softly, trying without much success not to appear distressed or uncomfortable as he was. “No. Not very long.” He’d been waiting for approximately 43 minutes, but he didn’t feel it fair to say that. When the doctor came closer and asked to see his cut, Noah frowned and looked to his arm. “Um, I think it’s still bleeding a little bit. And it kinda hurts,” he admitted, ever so slowly peeling the wet gauze from his injury.
Blackout: Noah & Cullen
Noah fidgeted on the edge of the hospital bed, waiting for the doctor to come see him. He felt silly for being there, especially given that others probably had more urgent reasons to be seen than he did. Selfishly, for a moment, he wondered if he could charge his phone since this was one of the few places in Belle Haven that had power. But he quickly dismissed that idea. He tried not to look down at the dried blood on his clothes as he got woozy every time he did that and instead focus on applying pressure with the gauze that the nurse had given him to hold to the wound on his arm. With any luck, he wouldn’t need stitches.

“Oh like in the olden days. Yeah, I read that recently that being plumper was a sign of beauty because it meant you had money.” She explained with a nod of her head. “Oh how things change.” She thought about snakes and laughed a little. “I actually don’t mind snakes. I mean I would never want one as a pet but I think they are kind of cool.” She admitted with a shrug. “Well hopefully if it ever happens again it will be an animal you are more comfortable with.” She nodded as she smiled sweetly at him. “I see, well I think the idea of a sanctuary of some kind is nice. Be it a church or a library. I think everyone is entitled to find there own space y’know?”
“Yeah, super olden days. Plague days. Not a good time,” Noah chuckled softly. “Sure, sure. They’re cool, biologically-speaking. I mean they’re sort of anatomically-amazing in how they can unhinge their jaws to swallow prey and move so quickly without feet. And forget about venom. The x-men of animals.” But god forbid, he find one in his garden. He might have a conniption. “I’ll be sure to roll up my windows all the way next time.” Noah nodded when Marisol spoke of sanctuary. “You know there’s a special place like that for werewolves here? I’ve never been, but I think it was finished recently.”

Galen waited as the wheel spun for what seemed like ages. If it hadn’t stopped, he would have thought it was broken or something. “I haven’t had pizza in ages.” He said as he took the tablet back and set it on the counter. “I’ll have to trust you in the picking.” He didn’t eat out all that much, not really, so even though he’d been here going in nine years, he didn’t know a lot of the take out places. When earth was your element, cooking came naturally. Well, the spices, fruits and veggies did, anyway. “As for the dessert, I’ll trust you on that too since I have no idea what those are.” He was embarrassed now, especially with how excited Noah seemed about them. “Want something to drink? I have water, juice, water, maybe some beer? Also, more water.”
@warlockgal
“You haven’t?” Noah was sort of surprised by Galen’s admission about pizza. He hoped that the warlock wasn’t super into healthy eating. It was okay if he was, but Noah wasn’t so great about watching what he put into his own body. If it tasted good, he probably would eat it. “What?” When Galen confessed ignorance about the dessert Noah requested that they get, the IT tech was even more surprised. Baffled even. “You’ve never had a zeppoli?” His lips spread in a broad grin. “Ohmigosh, they’re so good. Fried balls of dough with powdered sugar on them. And warm!” Perhaps he was a little more excited about them then was normal. “Hm, I think water sounds good.” He chuckled. “What kind of topping do you want on the pizza?”
