Spreading to Canada - Ottawa rabbi wakes up to find racist graffiti spraypainted on her home

It happened sometime between 11 p.m. Monday and 2:45 a.m. ET Tuesday, Anna Maranta wrote in a post on her Facebook page.

As of 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Maranta’s Facebook post with a photo showing the graffiti — the swastika and the word “k—" — had been shared about 250 times.

"This is what has been unleashed by the American President Elect, and those that support him,” she wrote.

Maranta asks anyone with information about the racist graffiti to contact her directly or call the Ottawa police hate crimes unit.

Editors note: While I don’t know the person who sent this in, this is another instance where the victim is a friend of a friend. Your editor is getting real tired of people in their network getting hit with these crimes.

Uneducated White Guys Even Being Targetted By Uneducated White Guys.

I only live a few blocks from some stores so I never need to drive to shop, I can walk and get exercise and supplies with little time lost. On the day after the election I was doing just that, something I do nearly every day. My hair was longish and a bit shaggy flopping out from under my hat, and I had a mighty Viking beard. I wore jeans and t-shirts and sneakers. I’m just a simple, uneducated white guy who likes to get soda for a session of gaming. A ratty car with two white guys in it drove past me and something hit me square in the ass. It was a steel bolt. I looked at the car as it sped away and white guy passenger was flipping me off. All I could do was flip them off back; they were too far away by then for my miserable eyesight to make out any ID. I decided that for my own safety I needed a haircut.

The next day as I was walking to the barber, literally going to get my head shaved, two white guys in a pickup truck passed me, screamed “Get a job fag!” and I was struck by something. It was a pencil. And of course the obligatory middle finger as they sped away to the safety of their suburbs.

These rabid tribalistic animals are not going to stop. It is only going to get worse. They are attacking their “own kind”. They thought I was homeless. I have dealt with that sporadically in the past. I’ve never had it happen twice in two days, and certainly not directly after an election. In my own country I felt the need to shave my head for my own safety. This is not fine!
