So apparently not everyone has times where they feel like talking is the most exhausting, and draining thing you could possibly do, and that's actually just going nonverbal?

Is this something that everyone experiences? Do any neurotypical people experience this?

I haven't seen many other neurodivergent people say like "Actually I was not a Gifted Kid. I was a kid no one thought had any potential", and I get why. There's a lot of praise for neurodivergent people who are very Smart in a neurodivergent way, and generally that's a great thing. On the other hand, for those of us who never fit that stereotype, it can be pretty humiliating and invalidating. It's hard to be open about the experience of everyone around you thinking you are too incompetent to be on your own or make anything of your life. And really, even if a person can't 'make anything of their life', they still absolutely deserve to live in comfort, safety, and happiness.

It's difficult to find a balance between saying we need to be critical of the universality of the 'neurodivergent gifted kid' narrative without invalidating anyone's experience.

Mom, do we know anything about Erwin's personal relationships? Eruri aside, do we know whether he had a girlfriend or a partner? Or married?

In the Dec 2013 BSM Q&A, Isayama stated that Erwin chose to be unmarried because he didn’t know when he would die. (Many thanks to @tsuki-no-ura and @lostcauses-noregrets for helping me dig up the 12/2013 BSM Q&A and surrounding discussion which is the source of that statement.)

Although I must say that I struggling at bit with the "Eruri aside" part of your ask because I find it impossible to "Eruri aside" anything when talking about Erwin's personal relationships. Erwin and Levi’s relationship is central to both of their story arcs in the manga, and I can't think of a single official interview or supplemental publication where Erwin and Levi aren't mentioned together and treated as a connected story unit.
