Abigail sighed softly and leaned into his gentle touch, eyes closing. She almost broke the quiet with a small quip about not being one of his dogs, but stayed quiet. It was nice, having her hair touched like this. She felt safe, for once, even with the man that had killed her father, who had gotten so close to Garret Jacob Hobbs, she was almost his victim.
