everything about part 2 so far has taken the optimistic bits of part 1 and twisted them brilliantly. i'll also add here that butterflies are carrion insects.

taking the symbolism of the butterfly in such a morbid direction is honestly so fitting. and it's absolutely feeding the theory that xia tian qing or chou pin yu is hsiao tung (helped by her mom's comment that the more her appearance changes the better).
