I made a fic finally for persona 4! Spoilers ahead.
Yosuke Hanamura is having a hard time adjusting to life after Adachi was caught, disgraced and exposed for what he's done. He feels himself spiraling. So he decides to do the worst thing, and contact Adachi. He finds out a lot about himself through that mistake.
Alternatively: I like Yu, Yosuke and Adachi parallels, and I thought making a fic focused on that would be fun. As always, read the tags.

I usually don't post any thoughts publicly online but ON GOD persona 4 has been driving me insane for the past year you have to hear me out guys
can we please acknowledge the fact that saki was in the TV when yu, yosuke and chie first went there? like, SHE WAS THERE. AND THEY BARELY MISSED HER. THIS IS SO PAINFUL OH MY GOD. why don't I see anyone talking about this this is RUINING ME
we don't have the exact time when she got thrown in but I'd guess somewhere around the evening of april 13th because she still showed up for her shift on the 13th and then she didn't show up at school on the 14th. the mayonaka TV didn't show her as clearly as every other shadow, but she wasn't a silhouette, so that's why I guess that she was already in there during the cutscene.
also can we. talk about saki outside of her death. she was the only person who could understand yosuke and his situation, because she was going through basically the same thing. in "the magician" (non-canon, but STILL…) she gave yosuke chocolate out of sympathy and a feeling of like-mindedness. 似たもの同士に, as she said. same goes the other way around, because yosuke was the only one who could understand her and sympathise with her. again, as shown in "the magician", even before part-timing at junes, saki didn't hate yosuke. she still understood him, because she carried a similar burden of being seen as the same as her parents. "parents are parents, you are you," is what she said to yosuke (the persona 4 manga by sogabe-san).
despite the echoes of saki's shadow saying otherwise, I don't think she truly hated yosuke. she was able to separate him from junes, unlike everyone else in inaba, but, obviously, a part of her was still unable to do that and she was bitter about junes running her family out of business and having to work at junes to help her family out and try to save up for leaving inaba (the latter being mentioned by the girls in yosuke's rank 7, so take that with a grain of salt). also yosuke was obviously bending some rules for saki out of sympathy to lessen her burden, but that kinda inadvertently led to him making her situation a bit worse. and his crush was obvious to EVERYONE, so that too. she might have hated him for that, but she still denied it enough for it to end up as something her shadow talks about.
also also can we acknowledge the parallels yosuke has w/ the fool trio (yu, adachi & namatame). oh my god I'm crawling UP THE WALLS.
the adachi thing is pretty obvious just. compare yosuke's shadow w/ adachi's dec 7 monologue. both have been sent to the boonies despite their wishes, are spiteful about it and bored to death by the countryside. both used the case to entertain themselves. both acknowledge it.
the namatame thing though. good lord. sit down guys. I'm gonna sit down.
yosuke's reaction to namatame saying that he threw people in because he thought that he was saving them and that "saving people" made him feel more important, like a hero, as if he's finally doing something important for once even though everyone hated him for him cheating on his wife, just kills me. it's painful. yosuke's shadow clowned on yosuke EXACTLY for trying to become a hero by going into the TV the same day saki died. obviously, yosuke cared a lot about saki, but you can't say that he went inside the TV just for her sake. a big part of his motivation was that he just had nothing to do in inaba, that there was finally something to do in the boonies, and that he wanted to feel special by solving the murders, becoming a hero, while everyone in the town hated him or disregarded him.
they both were hated, they both wanted to be seen as heroes, as someone SPECIAL.
also a big part of yosuke's character is the feeling of powerlessness. he moved to inaba and couldn't do anything about it. saki died, his shadow showed up, and he couldn't do anything about it. everything happened around him and was out of his control, so gaining a persona, becoming a "hero" was him gaining power. I think the scene that shows this the most is dec 3rd. yosuke usually doesn't assert his opinion because he's an "ideas guy", as he himself has said, but the whole thing with nanako (at the time) dying really was out of anyone's control, so he tried to take it back by DEMANDING that the team should kill namatame. yes, this was revenge for namatame (as the team then thought) killing saki and nanako, but I also think that yosuke was also trying to gain power over namatame, who made him feel so powerless (due to him taking the lives of those he cherished, again, as everyone at the time thought).
this also kinda ties into the whole thing w/ yosuke having parallels w/ the fool trio. everyone (yu, namatame, adachi) was powerless at some point in time. yu being sent to inaba by his parents, namatame losing yamano, adachi being transferred to inaba. you know.

NG+ timeloop gone wrong/different! Which means Yu Narukami would have max stats but… not be a wildcard? How?
Idk the “how” yet, more like he doesn’t have the exact same chance to activate it but! Izanami remembers the first loop & is kinda petty/want a different show so she just, didn’t shake his hand.
What does that mean for everyone else tho?
Next bit is the infodump I did in a friend’s dms, it is completely unedited idgaf go my scarab.
Saki still dies at the same time but none of them can go into the TV yet, but do know about the midnight channel. But that still doesn't comfort Yosuke so like one night he's off wandering Inaba hoping to get clues or at least clear his mind
This is when he meets Izanami, and they talk a bit bc he's unmoored and Izanami mentions how Narukami is special, but not this time and that Yosuke should help out around the gas station to show Junes solidarity or whatever and Yosuke is like "what tf are u saying" but still shakes hands and have the headache thing
But now he can feel his shadow calling out to him, he swears he sees his eyes flash yellow in his reflection sometimes, and get home closer to midnight, and when he's about to go to sleep the midnight channel turns on and shows a vague outline of him in thick fog and he hear a very distorted voice asking "Is this your truth? Is this your honest self?"
And he’s like "wtf was that ig I will let the others know in the morning" and falls asleep and have a dream where he’s by a road in thick fog and he decides to start walking and bumps into this girl also by the road and she have no memories or name but want to find the truth (of herself) and questions what is he afraid of, when he is not alone unlike her and a limousine pulls up but he wakes up before the doors open
And he’s like "wow what a weird dream, anways" and took the gang to Junes after talking about the midnight channel (which btw they did not see what Yosuke saw) and Narukami joked that if they had a better tv maybe they get better connection n Chie needed to get a new tv anways
So thry are checking out tv and Yosuke goes to ligntly knock on the screen bc line maybe Narukami questions how a think screen like those are stable and so his fist goes through and it shocks them ALL
And that's how they enter the tv world
Cues them wandering around but Yosuke is weirdly paranoid (compared to the others) bc he SWEARS someone is watching him from the shadows but the others don't feel it and then they meet teddie and fucjing normal p4g shit here
But Yosuke still can't shake off the stare, the pressure in his chest, an energy that is begging to be let free but he doesn't know what it is and Narukami asks if he is okay and if he wanted to show him any good food spots and usually Yosuke's go to is to say no or brush it off and isolate but he remembers what the gas station attendee said and his dreams and the midnight channel and decides to be honest and go show him Aiya's or smthing
To which (after eating) Narukami brings up searching the TV more for clues and Yosuke agrees bc 1. Def weird fucjijg shit happening and 2. It's clearly connected to the murders so fuck yeah let's do that
So into the TV world and its shopping district and they got jump by shadows and instead of Narukami summoning his persona they just beat em to death using their weapons (Yosuke being more violent bc there is this tension in him and his skin is buzzing and he wants to summon something forth but his mouth can’t form the words) and enter and see what Saki's repress feelings were
And surprise! Kagemura and it taunts and laugh at Yosuke and say the thing from last time and Yosuke wants to so bad to deny deny deny but it... It’s really him, no? And it's like that girl in her dreams said, and like Narukami has his hand on his shoulders and saying it's okay and Teddie is saying that is him and just
He looks at his shadow and admits he is afraid and shallow and a coward, but he wants to change- no, he has to change. For himself, for Saki, for Narukami and the nameless girl and to catch the killer. And Kagemura is shocked but also really happy to be accepted without getting his shit kicked in and starts to transform into Jiraiya
okay small aside but I hc that Yu Narukami got his persona directly from Izanami, she was holding the best memories she has of Izanagi and put it in him to let him fully turn that into a proper persona
BUT SOMETHING HAPPENS AND YOSUKE GETS THIS CRAZY HEADACHE AS A DIFF BUT V SIMILIAR VOICE ECHOES OUT IF HE IS WILLING TO FIGHT FOR THE TRUTH, TO OPEN THE DOOR AND SHINE A LIGHT THROUGH THE FOG
and he down on his knees and Jiraiya's card is flickering and he reach inside himself and admits he's scared, but people are relying on him, no? He has to try. Let Him Try
Jaraiya forms and then Yosuke hears the voices™ and accepts and Izanagi (which looks diff, like Izanagi picario Yosuke addition) burst out of his body and goes towards Jaraiya, and they circle each other (dance?) And say "Thou art I... I art thou, we shall guide you towards the truth and change the winds of fate" before becoming cards and joining back with yosuke
After resting they go back and Narukami is saying that while he doesn't have a persona like him and just move he still wants to help amd Yosuke is ecstatic to have someone to help him out and to not scare Narukami off via his shadow and agrees and then he gets flashbanged and hear the "Thou art I... I art thou" and gets rank 1 fortune and he just. Have to pretend nothing happens bc Narukami didn't even fucking flimch and wtf is going on
Then he goes to bed and Igor pulls up and be like “sign this contact” and Yosuke is like “sure fuck it we ball”
