I'm real curious what the changes to Yosk's dialogue will be, if only because I know it was... Not Great but I always was able to push through and see the kind of character he was intended to be

...There's something deeply messed up about how breasts, which are used by our species to feed babies, are considered to be so perverse and obscene that a child should never see them.
There aren't any naked people in the entire video clip. There's some people that you'd probably see less of their skin on a beach, but only because on a beach they'd probably be wearing a bikini top as well as whatever else they have on. And this is New York City, where toplessness is legal regardless of gender or assigned sex.
Toplessness for breasts is legal in most places in the US, unlegislated in almost all that remain, and only illegal in two states: Ohio and Tennessee.
This is because topless equality has been a basic push from feminists for literally decades, until Radfems and NeoCons bonded over wanting a trans genocide less than a decade ago.
It's literally why the "no tits on tumblr" and other lesser SESTA/FOSTA consequences* like it were so jarring. It set back FORTY. YEARS. OF PROGRESS in the rights of people with breasts or perceived as women to wear the same clothes as people without.
Do not let conservatives lie to you about this. The majority of people in the us and the VAST majority of States recognize the right of people to not wear a damn shirt. It isn't obscenity, it isn't even nudity, it's just something pericis men are allowed that everyone else isn't.
Y'know.

Finally got to beating Mother 1 (or Earthbound Beginnings)
Started this 2 years ago, and through both periods of time I was glued to the starman.net walkthrough of the game. It's really rough, but charming in seeing how EB improved things later on.
Now I need to play through Mother 3 eventually.
Also, there was a Mother 1 EB romhack recently released, which seems cool to try eventually
So, the Fiance has been playing the original Persona 4, and he's currently up to Rise's Dungeon
Some of my thoughts, plus what he's mentioned below:
I think the funniest thing about it so far is getting to see how absolutely rude the game can be and get the opinions of someone who has no prior history with the series. His primary frustration is the game's insistence on having as many Personas as possible with different Arcana to maximize Social Link boosts, but you start with such a pitiful inventory for them and it only maxes out to 12 at level 30, even though you don't need one for every Arcana (like Fool, Hermit, Star, and Empress). A problem inherit to 3-5's formula, but not exactly the worst I'd say since you can repurchase really cheap low-level Personas, and the boosts they give are minimal at times.
Other things to note of amusement/frustration is 4's version of Shuffle Time and Arcana Chance, interesting in concept, but understandable as to why they were massively overhauled for Golden. Shuffle Time switches between the cards flying in set patterns as a timing game, or a memory game that doesn't even tell you where all the matches are. While Arcana Chance is literally just a gamble of if it helps or hurts you, with the Death, Devil, and I'd even argue Empress cards being the worst. Sometimes you might get fully healed, or have one of your good Personas just transmogrified against your will (should you accept the gamble).
The amount of enemies the game throws at you, their weaknesses (or lack thereof most of the time) and the overworld hitboxes/timing for Player vs Enemy advantage is very interesting. I'm used to always running Yosk-Yuki-Chie for the base element coverage, but I'm also a Golden player where enemy weaknesses are either a lot more balanced, or overall the encounters are just easier to survive. He misclicked a single action and Protag (named Gabe in this instance for fun) went from full health, to almost getting killed, and was only saved because of Kanji taking the blow (Yosuke was knocked out that same turn, and Yukiko was not doing great either). Welcome to Shin Megami Tensei, I guess. And even beyond that, he's properly equipped, maybe a little underleveled, but everything hits for 80-100+ damage unless resisted. It's kind of nuts
For QOL stuff I'm aware of, Golden Shadows feel a LOT rarer than in Golden (lol), I think he's only found two, but I found them all the time (heck, I found a way to abuse their spawning location in Void Quest to guarantee them). Nevermind how nice the Skill Card mechanic is, in addition to Golden's superior Shuffle Time, and how that makes every Persona viable in the long term with enough patience (which helps keep Velvet Room costs down)
Overall, he's enjoying the game, but we can definitely see the SMT that was still very present in base that has gotten softer over the games that followed
