Tony Stark was fucking right this entire time, both the characters around him and many fans didn’t believe him and dismissed his warnings. I mean, he was only one of the most intelligent people on Earth, why take him seriously, am I right?

It’s not like he saw a giant fucking army through the wormhole or anything. It’s not like he tried to make the Accords work so that Earth would have a globally implemented defence system made up of people instead of machinery after Ultron went to shit.

Tony had every right to verbally bitchslap Rogers after returning from his worst nightmare come true. Every word was soaked and lathered in facts and needed to be rinsed off on Rogers’ common sense.

I’ve been reading bullshit about Tony being an asshole because he didn’t invent time-travel sooner. Idiots need to realise that this was Scott’s idea as he had the knowledge about the Quantum Realm, not Tony. And Tony didn’t only do it cause he was missing his Spider-Son. He knew, and Pepper agreed, that it was the right thing to do and that Tony’s soul would continue to be in agony until he did what was right.

Later, when Tony asked if they’re actually gonna have a whole team for the time heist, the “this time?” wasn’t said but was definitely fucking implied. Tony had wanted to keep the original team together in the first place and was not going to risk the existence of his daughter over more broken promises.

I’m angry at how relevant this is. sometimes when it happens to me I call those men out (and maybe tell them to fuck off), which is riskier. ignoring or not escalating the situation may be the safest action. but you also deserve to be able to object vocally about it in the first place.

When I feel comfortable doing so, my default way to respond is by saying, loudly

“Sir you’re staring at me and it’s making me uncomfortable”

It’s a powerful statement that threatens to draw the attention of onlookers. It’s a powerful tool, explicitly stating the situation in a way we were told was ‘impolite,’ or ‘making a fuss,’ 'being difficult’. (That was a big rule growing up, even if I didn’t recognize it then: Holding adults and especially men responsible for their actions is rude and not allowed. Don’t be difficult.)

Men don’t expect to be called out for these actions. They don’t expect to be called out for being creepy and predatory in smaller, legal, and socially tolerated ways. We can change that! You should not be obliged to silence yourself when people intrude on your boundaries.

It’s time we unlearn how to tolerate untolerable things.

Again, keep yourself safe. But do not let fear silence your voice. Speak up when you can (define your own parameters of what you’re comfortable with). it’s not your job and you shouldn’t have to deal with it, but this is our reality atm. More people speaking up is a requirement to things changing. BE VOCAL ABOUT THE SHIT SOCIETY MAKES YOU DEAL WITH.
