Palia Headcanons: Hassian Pt. 3

Summer Edition...

- Walked into a tree the first time he saw his s/o in shorts.

- His partner kinda has to force him to wear sunscreen bc he doesn't like the texture. He'll do it tho at the reward of a smooch ofc. Tho he doesn't really get burnt anyway but still. Still tans quite quickly honestly.

- Worries about Tau and his partner overheating. Tau will just lay in the sun roasting and his partner is just constantly sprinting all over Kilima etc. So he keeps asking if they've drank enough water and that they should rest for a bit.

- Now while he is at least mostly sleeveless and according to him he does not get cold, he absolutely does get warm. He is wearing leather and fur. And his autistic ass is sweating his ass off during summer. His stubborn ass did not even consider switching outfits for summer until his partner went and got him something made by Jel. Took some convincing and his partner showing him their matching fit but he ends up quite appreciating the more breathable wear.

Ty to @squidamalink for pointing out that he's in several layers of leather-

- Adores picnics. Being outdoors and having meal with his beloved. The second it gets warm he's secretly (or not so secretly) so pumped. He enjoys preparing them as well but he also thinks his partner looks quite adorable holding a picnic basket they prepared.

- He uses the warm weather as an excuse to have his partner stay in his grove at night longer. If they fall asleep on his shoulder while sitting around the campfire cuddling thats just a coincidence ofc.

- Tau loves to jump into any body of water during summer and he will purposely get near Hassian or his partner to shake off and get them all wet.

- Lowkey loves roasting stuff over a fireplace. He ends up preparing a bunch of things for it with the help of his partner. He gets Auni and Ulfe to join, and even Najuma joins for a little. His s/o tells everyone ancient human campfire stories and Hassian after a bit even starts telling the kids about the stars. Sometimes Sifuu joins as well and ofc she tells her tales too.

- Likes picking a very pretty spot near the bahari bay beach to watch the sunset with his s/o during beach outings. He's very particular.

- Turns into a blushing mess if asked to put sunscreen on his partners back.

Palia Headcanons: Reth Part 4.

Summer Edition...

- Passed out once bc he got too hot and steamy while cooking soup during the height off summer. He got scolded so bad once he recovered lol

- Ties his hair up during summer bc he gets so warm. He also thought about shaving his head once or twice but his partner almost cried about it. They had a nightmare about bald Reth a few times after that.

- Does love beach days with his partner and friends. But also gets a tiny bit nervous any time they swim out a bit too far for his taste.

- The one thing that bothers him in the summer is that it makes cuddling harder. Everything is warm and sticky. Like yeah he wishes to glue himself to his partner but not like that-

- Tries to get a nice tan during summer, bc Nai'o can't be the only hot guy with a tan around town. Somehow he ends up with more of a farmers tan than him tho.

- Obviously insists soup is the best source of electrolytes on earth. Hes very consistent in trying to make sure his s/o drinks enough (soup) during summer.

- Auni continously begs him to make ice cream in the summer. Eventually he even gets Ulfe in on it. Tho the flavour are sometimes.... yeah....

- Reth also likes experimenting with different cocktails and iced drinks during summer. His favourite thing to do is try and get as close to old human flavours as he can and test them all out on his partner.

- Shamelessly stares at his partner in swimwear or short clothes. If someone scolds him he goes "What?? Can you blame me??" And gestures wildly at his partner.

- His s/o set the grill on fire one time and Reth physically threw their watering can at the grill. To be fair... it did work and Reth was very proud of himself for saving his partner.

I apologize for my absence. I am on meds that make me intolerant to heat so i was suffering for the past couple weeks. I am getting better tho and getting back into the headcanon groove :D

Do you have any headcanons on how Hodari would react to the player being with child or like any pregnancy and Hodari headcanons? Thanks!!

Oh he's a pro. He's had a pregnant partner before so he knows what's up.

He's very aware of his partner. He gets a bit anxious whenever they head out without him.

He'd prefer to stay by their side 24/7 but he knows that that's not realistic.

So he does his very best to make them as comfortable as possible. He's the master of cravings, tending to every single one. No matter how weird. They want bananas on their hot hounds? They get bananas on their hot hounds.

He info dumps about when Najuma was a baby. (To her annoyance ofc). His partner has never heard him talk this much. Its quite enjoyable and informative surprisingly.

If its their first time being with child Hodari spends a lot of time reassuring them. They freak out about something thats weird but normal and he makes sure they know it is.

Also big sis Najuma is so thrilled. She's so excited to be a big sister. She's already yapping about teaching the child about all her cool inventions before they're even born.

She talks to the bump too. Gotta make sure the baby knows that she's gonna be the coolest older sibling ever.

For a second Hodari was worried about how she'd feel about having a sibling with a different second parent.

But she's so excited. She always wanted a sibling. She's so pumped.

Hodari...

Watches tentatively at first. Until his partner notices him just standing there and proceeds to beckon him to join. They practically pull him to join and despites his protests about not being able to dance. "Darling you're gonna make me throw my back out-"

And to no ones surprise, he's actually good at dancing. That man was a heartthrob in his younger days (he still is tbh).

After he's actually gotten into the groove of dancing with his partner he does start asking questions about the music. "This is human music, right Darling?" And "Did yah listen to this kinda thing back then?".

He's gently prodding about it because he likes knowing things about his partner. He likes knowing what their past life was like.

Reth...

Gets a giant grin immediately and jumps in to join instantly. He starts twirling his partner and jumps along the beat with them.

Only after a couple of mins he realizes, "Wait what language is this?", he questions with his arms still wrapped around his partner.

His partner explains that it's an ancient human language.

Reth gets so excited again, immediately asking what it's saying and "Is it a loooovveee song??? Are you trying to tempt me with ancient human techniques????"

And he proceeds to pester them with kisses-

Palia Headcanons: Reth Pt. 3

- Will use his parters shower stuff. No matter what it smells like, be it lavender or cedar. He loves the intimacy of sharing things.

- On the topic of sharing things. A bit after being given a drawer in his partners house he gets real comfy and just starts mixing his and his partners things together. That man is not bothering to sort socks apart when doing laundry. Theyre just all going in one drawer.

- Whenever his partner plays hotpot in the underground he purposely brings them over a drink and gives them a kiss on the cheek to show the other players not to flirt with them.

- Almost set the inn on fire once because his partner called him some stupid cutesy nickname for the first time and he couldn't stop thinking about it. Ashura saved him from the burning lettuce soup tho so its all okay and the smell totally didn't maje Auni gag upon entering the inn.

- Walked into a pole once because he was staring at his partner. He's such a mysterious dashing rouge isn't he.

- Reorganised his partners spice cabinet while they were in the bathroom once. No he was not asked to do that.

- There was a spider in the store room one time. Reth paid Auni an entire pie to remove it. (Auni puts them there on purpose after that to extort him).

- He gets very anxious and clingy when his partner gets sick. Even if it's just a cold, he goes into an almost panic. Everything about the whole situation makes him feel as helpless as he felt when Tish was sick.

His partner of course reassures him a lot. It also keeps to keep him busy with menial tasks, like making tea or tidying the house. Or cooking then soup obviously. His face immediately lights up upon the request.

- He sleep talks about work and his debt. It's okay tho, just smack him with a pillow a few times and he'll shut up.

- Tried smoking once (he thought it'd make him cool) and proceeded to choke so hard he almost threw up. Zeki was there. He was rather concerned actually.

Aoi I so sorry this took genuinely 84 years but we're here nonetheless-

Mind you, I don't know anything about weddings of any culture.

Oh and basically all of my headcanon are gender neutral unless specifically asked for otherwise :P

Jel...

First off, if his partner went with the tradition of not letting him see their outfit before the wedding it is torture to him.

He wants to see his muse in beautiful wedding attire so bad. He wants to bask in their elegance and beauty. He wants to take in every detail.

The other option is him design their outfit of course. He tends to their every whim and opinion. Every bead, every fold and ruffle, every cuff will be made just to their liking.

Jel is in heaven.

This is one of the few times he fully enjoys all the planning and prepping.

Even the food. Dragon Reth suffers because Jel keeps changing his mind on the dishes.

Tish also obviously helps with the decor.

Jel needs to be reminded it doesn't have to be "perfect". His partner tells him that all it needs to be perfect for them is him being there.

Oh and I just know the Omiata had like a family crest and Jel is absolutely enthralled with his partner wearing it. Especially after the wedding.

He'd also be thrilled if his partner took his last name. His family legacy is so important to him. He is thrilled to know his partner wants to be part of it.

Reth...

Oh dragon, oh goodness gracious, save him. That man never even thought anyone would ever want to marry. Deep down he is still scared that he's gonna be left at the altar.

He becomes more and more clingy the closer it gets to the date.

He notices this himself tho.

Actually quite early on. He realizes that hes incredibly nervous about the entire thing.

So, he seeks out conversation with his partner.

He's a bit ashamed, he worries they'll think he doesn't trust them. But they assure him that if he wants they can just do all the planning and getting ready and the celebrations as a couple.

After this conversation he's a lot more at ease and actually having so much fun planning the wedding.

The whole gang is involved (Tish and Jel).

His favourites are late nights with everyone there and his partner in his lap sipping on some drinks just yapping about what colour the tablecloths should be.

Hassian...

Oh dragons. Oh my. He wants to follow literally all the traditions. He wants it to be "proper". But not only for Majiri customes, but also human customs.

He's so determined to do it right.

We all know he was a bit sensetive about the whole marriage thing after.... you know....

But his heart yearns for that bond. He wants it official and properly.

He wants people to know. He wants everyone to know his spouse is with him.

Tau is the ring bearer obviously.

He had a nightmare a chapaa stole the rings at one point.

Hassians partner does the first draft of a seating chart and they include Taylin which results in Hassian having to leave the room in order not to cry (/pos). He doesn't understand how they understand him so deeply. He never thought he'd ever feel this deeply connected to someone. Yet he does.

Palia Headcanons: Hodari Pt. 1

- Canonly calls his partner Darling, and probably other things like sweetheart and honey. But he gets all embarrassed if his partner does the same. Like his partner calls him "My Love" his ears turn red and he has to avert his eyes.

- If its any sort of raining or snowing currently or the ground is still wet/frozen, he'll always offer his partner his arm to hold. He absolutely didn't once witness them eat shit out in bahari bay.

- Loooovvesss if his partner does activities with Najuma. From baking cookies to tinkering. It makes him feel so warm and fuzzy seeing his partner include themself in his little family.

- Insists on regular date nights. Schedules and plans around them. Him and his partner switch up who plans them regularly.

- Accidentally introduced his partner as his husband/wife/spouse to someone once and he wanted to throw himself out a window bc he was already considering marriage in his head but hadn't actually told anyone about it.

- Rather quickly makes space in his room for his partner to put their thing. Tho actually not only in his room just the whole house. Oh his partner tends to eat these type of snacks regularly? Guess thats gonna be a staple in his house now too-

- Whenever his partner comes visit him during work down at that stop at the pavel mines, he half-jokingly accuses them of distracting him from work. Tho his protests quickly stop at the offer of some smooches.

- Worlds tightest shoulders and back. So he loves a good backrub. Or like back scratches or his partner just rubbing circles on his back.

- Definitely snores. He's a middle aged father what do you except? Ofc he sores-

He also sleeps like a rock too. And he's a hugger with an iron grip. That man is holding onto his partner for dear life and they better be prepared to be flipped like a pancake if he rolls over in his sleep.

- If his partner sits in a chair "too far away" Hodari absolutely drags the chair over to him while his partners sitting in it. He does that in the Inn all the time.

Okay so I will be frank, I am yet to finish his romance quests. He's the last one I'm doing and I literally got Quest 3 yesterday. So I hope it's not too ooc :>

Palia Headcanons: Einar Pt. 1

Gets his partner little adornment for their outfits because they compliment his many times. Of course he asks all his fishies for help and recommendations.

Asks Hekla for "human" advice sometimes. She knows more about humans and their needs than he does. Jina has to intervene sometimes when she gets too much though.

Always explicitly asks for permission before any sort of physical contact. Just in general, he doesn't wanna make his loved ones uncomfortable even if it's just a hand on the back. Hr was very hesitant about contact at first, because he really didn't see a point to physical affection. But eventually he starts to yearn... He starts longing for his partner to lean their back against him, to lay their legs across him when sitting next to eachother, for them to grab his arm while walking...

The Gardener is a damn gossip queen. Can't leep a secret for sht. He's immediately telling on Einar for any sort. Is he going it on purpose or not? No one knows. But Einars partner will immediately know about any surprise date or gift.

Adores if his partner hums or sings to themself while doing anything. He secretly records it and engraves it into his runeworkings. He actually asked Zeki if he could put the recording on a vinyl so theres no chance he could loose the recording.

Obviously doesn't need to sleep, but very much likes when his partner sleeps on or near him. He enjoys that they feel safe enough around him to do so.

Slowly sarts taking interest in more activities. Most of them being introduced to him by his partner. Dancing, cooking, reading, he's very big on quality time. He enjoys if his partner partaken in his oneness so he would like to learn about the things they like to do as well.

Forehead bonks. That's it. That's the headcanon. He loves them. He's so gentle.

He also enjoys playing with his partners hair. He ain't got any. He enjoys it.

Slowly over time his runeworkings start to see his partner as a oneness as well. It wouldn't make sense to him otherwise why would be feel such warmth and fulfillment whenever he spent time with them? He sends long nights just trying to make sense if people can be one of his onenesses.

He accidentally referred to his partner as his oneness while speaking with someone else at least once.

Okay I needed a bit to think about them all as kids but i think i got it-

Hassian...

It's that one clip of the child laying under a couch and the other laying on their stomach next to the couch kicking their feet yapping.

That kid did not want to befriend anyone at all. In the slightest. He's trynna be alone. I headcanon Hassian as autistic, he was rather shy and quite frankly didn't talk a lot as a kid, like even less than as a grown man.

It was quite difficult to get to know him at first, but once he started to defrost, even as kid Hassian was very dedicated and loyal. Like if you're his person, you're his person.

Hes potective of the ones he loves because thats what both his mommas taught him. He is the kid that would not let go of the others hand no matter what during outings.

Totally not also because he likes holding hands, that has no part in it at all.

Reth...

The child that sprints at you and attack hugs you. Very energetic, talks so much, constantly covered in bruises and scrapes from doing dumb stuff to make his friends laugh. Class clown just because he likes seeing people happy, got in trouble a lot because of it.

So basically what I'm saying is that he definitely has adhd.

Rips flowers out the ground with roots to give to you. Very openly affectionate.

Back then his criminal mind (being ashamed of himself) had not set in.

Tho he is quite anxious, always worrying about Tish being sick, his parents being dissapointed (and you liking him).

He just needs a bit of reassurance every now and then.

He canonly says he'd follow PC around like a lost puppy and he actually does that as a kid. He's always there.

Okay listen. I feel like he was a crier as a kid. A sensitive child, gentle to the bone. Tho we do know that he was like... he stole like a design from one of his sisters to claim it was his at one point?

I feel like that mostly says something about his relationship with his family more than anything. So I do feel he was a gentle and shy kid in general.

Loovveesss dress up obviously. He loves when his mom let's him have tea parties with his friends. He adores dressing his friends up all fancy and pretty.

Oh lordy he loves playing with your hair. He will grin like an idiot if you let him play with your hair. He totally does not steal his sisters hair products to make you feel pretty and fancy.

He's just so gentle and sweet. Very attentive.

Hii!! okay okay, for now im gonna do just proposal/engagement stuff because its gonna be too long otherwise-

Reth...

Proposed to his partner with a ringpop jokingly probably while tipsy probably. But when they wholeheartedly agreed (knowing it wasn't a serious proposal) the thought of actually marrying them clawed itself into Reths brain and it would not let go.

He couldn't stop thinking about it. He started literally dreaming about a wedding.

Which is silly because he never even thought he'd find a serious partner, let alone one that would marry him.

He kept telling himself he's being ridiculous. He keeps grovelling at the bar. He keeps getting distracted and burning food and droppingg things. Hes just so... distracted.

His partner notices of course. But they know if it's something he wants to talk about with them, he will. That's how their relationship works, they rely on eachother.

But eventually Ashura also notices something is up. And he actually asks.

Reth just starts blabbering. Ashura listens to him until he is finished.

"Well. Why *don't* you propose?"

"What?"

"Why don't you propose son? I know for a fact that they are sure of you being part of their future. So why don't you?"

Reth turns into a tomato.

But he does actually start planning now. He gets Tish and Jel involved. It does take him a bit to save for a ring because he wants to actually get his partner something they'll like.

He keeps it small. Just in front of his chosen family. He wants them to witness one of the most special moments of his life.

Jel...

He gets absolutely obsessed with finding the *perfect* ring and location and scenario for a proposal. He gets so obsessed at some point his partner even realizes that he's planning a proposal, which Jel does not notice.

His partner would marry him if he proposed without a ring in the middle of a thunderstorm outdoors, but no, it *has* to be perfect.

This whole ordeal takes way too long. Like genuinely ages. But poor Jel keeps finding issues he has to solve to make it perfect. He can't find the perfect ring. He can't find the perfect location. Nothing is perfect enough for his muse. His muse is worth so much they deserve the most perfect proposal ever.

Eventually his partner realizes that he's putting too much pressure on himself.

And. They decide to just to it for him.

One very lovely evening they take their little walk around the lake. And on the most beautiful moonlight they fall on one knee for their artist.

Of course he says yes.

Hassian...

Oh ohhhh he yearns. He yearns so hard. We all know he already wanted to get married in the past. So he is a bit sensetive still, but oh how this man yearns. He yearns to be intertwined with his partner for the rest of their lives. And despites his more introverted personality he also yearns for everyone to know that him and his partner have sewn their lives together for eternity.

He does professional yearner things like stare at his beloveds hand while they sleep on him and think about a ring on their finger.

He thinks about settling down and starting a family. Every time his partner wears something thats even remotely wedding colours he freezes and just stares.

At the same time he's worried about them not returning the deep commitment he feels for them. They do very much.

Instead of speaking to anyone he writes all of it down. His wants and wishes. His worries and concerns.

And then one day while hes over at his mothers he's going through a drawer looking for a paper. His mommas ring. Not Sifuus and Taylins wedding bands, Sifuu still wears those on a band around her neck, but a ring he knows that had been in the family since forever.

He stares at it.

"Can I have this?" he looks at his mum.

Sifuu smiles, knowingly "Of course."

Hassian keeps the proposal just him and his love. One night in front of that hearth he had always been longing for.
