Day three of isolation....I made a friend.

Had my radioactive pill today. 50 millicuries. Only difference I feel is cold. you get cold drinking so much water. I have had a gallon already today. Being confined sucks, but it’s not forever. I sure don’t want to do this a second time.

This Iodine diet before RAI (Radioactive Iodine Ablation) is killing me.  I’m in the middle of doing bills at the kitchen table and suddenly it is imperitive to cook dinner for everyone else an hour early right in front of me? *groan* And food seems to be all anybody talks about too.

I had no idea that you have to be isolated after radioactive iodine. Sounds like a pain in the ass.

Ladies Who Take Levothyroxine ….

To my ladies that take levothyroxine, holy jesus. FYI this is gonna be a little TMI but I just got my period and it’s like a war zone. The amount that I am bleeding is insane and I’ve literally bleed through twice over the weekend, that hasn’t happened to me since Jr. HS. Does this happen to anyone that takes levothyroxine? If so what do u do to help or has it gotten better? If this does not happen to u I am so happy for u lol.
