OH MY GOD okay I just want to express how much I love Amy Schumer’s “Madonna/Whore” skit. I am sure many women have felt this way and it’s a perfect representation, in my opinion. Even with otherwise wonderful men, they will still have this “freak in the sheets, lady in the streets” mentality that they don’t even acknowledge. Like how the fuck are you honestly going to demand that a woman who enjoys sex pretend like she’s a little baby virgin in all other parts of her life, because you don’t want other men to perceive YOUR woman as someone who likes sex! Alternatively, how fucked up is it that men feel entitled to demand their church-going wonderfully polite virginal woman also be a porn-star in bed. BUT don’t sleep with too many guys, BUT still be really sexy and into your appearance, BUT NOT TOO into your appearance. Don’t be a prude, but don’t be slutty, be firm, but not a bitch, know exactly what to do with my dick, but it might turn me off if I get the feeling you’re too experienced. Women jump through these hoops willingly, AND FOR WHAT? So that they can play the perfect role every day for a guy who doesn’t put in 1/50th of that effort in any other aspect of the relationship?

Freedom is apparently bad for business 

That’s the message from the private prison industry which is threatening to sue states if they don’t start locking more people up. {Please REBLOG this!}

The private prison companies, well-known for profiting off of incarceration and crime, is now saying that the state’s they have contracted with aren’t keeping up their end of the bargain. The private prisons rely on a certain number of inmates for free and virtually-free slave labor.

That labor is used for a variety of trades, including making uniforms for popular restaurants like McDonalds and Applebee’s. But if the private prisons don’t have enough inmates locked up then production goes down correlative with the decrease in free labor (i.e. slavery).

It comes as a surprise to many Americans, but slavery was never actually abolished in the United States. That’s not a metaphor, it’s a matter of careful reading of the 13th amendment to the Constitution. That amendment – often lauded for abolishing slavery – actually makes an exception for prisons. Slavery is still completely legal as “punishment for a crime.”

I want this so badly, it’s affecting my mental and physical health. I’m having dreams about it. I would wear this everywhere, every day and be so stunningly happy. I’m tearing up thinking about it.
