“People who don’t betray their friends exist, though.”
MADAM:
IT PAINED HER TO SEE HIM LIKE THIS the injured wolf : INJURED BECAUSE OF HER . heartless ? definitely . for him ? yoojin found it impossible . when was the last time she genuinely cared about someone like this ? no , THAT PATHETIC TEENAGER WHO LOVED HER HUSBAND WITH ALL HER HEART ; lately thoughts of him were scarcer , instead replaced with the fear of losing jeha . she forces him to stay still in his chair , pressing the cloth against his shoulder with the first aid kit open in her lap ( too long spent TAKING CARE OF HERSELF ) ‘ stop moving . ’ decisive and firm , albeit affectionate-gnarled voice . ‘ you’re extreme , but i suppose that’s one of your good qualities . ’
He smiled, ALMOST. Lips tittering at her last remark, for a brief moment, a heartbeat, before the movement was gone, disappearing with the slight frown replacing it, twisting his face into an expression of discomfort and PAIN that he was pushing back. It hurt, but at least the pain was distracting, from all those things that haunted him, memories, faces, words, feelings, the heat of the scorching sun, endless SAND. At least those things were now HIDDEN behind the veil of pain that he was feeling, and he almost felt grateful.
"Yes, MADAM." Sitting perfectly still, his eyes glued to the door of her office, the heavy wooden doors closed, not allowing even the sounds from the hallway to seep in. Jeha, looked up as she began working on his shoulder only to find a few dried drops of blood on the side of her left cheek. "Are YOU hurt?" However immobile he was, his voice conveyed worry, alarm and urgency mixing in together and washing over his words.
“I can’t say that I AGREE with you.”
hi here is ur friendly reminder that this should be canon bye
‘ you’re far too reckless . ’ CADENCE MELLOW , a litany of statements PRACTICALLY EVERYDAY / the injuries on his body were there more often than not : he was too impulsive when it came to protecting her . she cleaned the wound on his arm , tired of that HELPLESS notion of merely watching jeha do it himself when he should be resting ( A QUEEN SHOULD TREAT HER FAVOURITE WOLF ) . ‘ you don’t . . . need to go that far . ’
@itskimjeha
The cut across his shoulder was still oozing blood and each time he even slightly tired to move his left arm, it felt like he was tearing himself apart. The pain itself, why not ideal, wasn't something he ever FEARED, and it would never deter him from doing something dangerous. Sometimes, he wasn't sure if danger really meant anything to him. After he came back from the MIDDLE EAST, nothing scared him anymore. He had nothing to protect, no one to protect anymore. And therefore NOTHING to lose. "Whatever it takes to protect you." His face was devoid of any expression as he started forward. That was his one task, one thing that he had to do. No harm can come to her. And like a dog with a bone, he wasn't letting go from that. "I just need to get stitched up and I'll be FINE." A bold face lie.
