It's ok it won't take long, Edith is very persuasive and he'll trust her just enough to do a little bit of it His first maintenance session will come at a cost to her though

Drawing more AU stuff during downtime between comic panels, starting with Cath as a pirate captain. I'll do some more with the rest of the characters being introduced but just getting started, was a nice treat after 2 long comic panels back to back

Just wanted to give a big thank you to everyone who's been reading Botch & Edith so far, it really means a lot to me ❤️

We're entering the second half of Arc 1 now, so there's still plenty to go. Botch is settling in with his family.

I've never really explicitly said what the comic is about, or what it's really for, but it's basically about my mother and, by extension, my own family. She means the world to me for everything she's done for me, as does a lot of my close knit family members, the few I have. That's why the story covers the life journey of a butler robot and his mother, as I not only want to share that love with other people, I hope they get to experience it too.

So once again, thank you for reading ❤️

I'll keep up the hard work on writing, drawing and composition to make this the best work I can possibly produce, or it would be a disservice to the real people my characters are based on

So many cheaters refuse to acknowledge that cheating on their partner will irrevocably change and possibly destroy their relationship with their kid. “Yeah, I cheated on you but that is no reason to keep my daughter away from me.” Your daughter probably does not want to see you because she now feels you are no longer a trustworthy and safe adult. If you’re willing to destroy her life, her mother’s self esteem and 20+ years of marriage for the joy and ego boost of fucking someone 10 years older than her, there is no guarantee you will choose her over your own pleasure in other serious situations.

They love to start playing the ‘parental alienation’ card when their adolescent and teenage children want nothing to do with them and/or their new partner after infidelity. A parent does not need to maliciously manipulate their child for that child to hold a grudge against the other parent for harming them. Even if the partner you cheated on isn’t the other parent of your child, it will still damage the way your child sees you and the respect and bond associated with that. When you cheat you damage your relationships with so many people in your life, not just the person you cheated on. Your children will also often see it as a betrayal.

Might be spoilery, but.....

Is there a point where cath has to fix botch in an emergency or otherwise?

I know it takes a long while to before he even lets edith begin to, so im curious how he'd react to such a scenario, especially with someone new and absolutely not a mechanic (that i know of)

She actually won't ever fix him, she's not technically minded enough to do so, she also is a little bit uncomfortable with his wiring, its the same as say surgery is for people, it's a little gory.

He is nervous around her at first when it comes to sensitive areas like his chest, but over time, he's not as uncomfortable with it anymore, especially because by the time they're old, he trusts her not to do things he wouldn't like

Edith will remain his long term mechanic since she has the ability to have his parts custom made (and some stuff that happens in arc 2 means she can continue having those parts made at her leisure)

I can't wait to see botche's reaction to the fact that yes, as a robot, he can fall in love.

(I feel like he's the type to deny it so hard considering the type of person he falls for😂)

I did do a couple of doodles for it I'm not sure if I ever uploaded them but this ones my favourite one haha

His gf is his polar opposite in a lot of ways, very impulsive and messy but her hearts in the right place, or it will be once he gets passed trying to outdo her at the job haha
