-Lily takes the thimble and tries it on- Perfect! Thanks. Now...you just told me you'll be in the library. Come on. It'll be fun. You can hang out with me and my mates! If you don't like it, you can leave.

"You’re not the well-behaved Evans I know anymore, don’t you? I like that."

"It's not a prank. It's payback. There's a difference. And no, you can't. This is personal." She crosses her arms. "I'm the same Lily I've always been. You just don't know me, Potter."

"No! No, I'm sorry, I just assumed. Um," he blushed again, embarrassed that he'd said anything. "Oh, I'm just here studying. I think there's a study group on in the common room right now but I don't like those, they're too... intense just for studying."

Lily smiled softly. "You really are Remus's brother. I'll study with you. I haven't got much else to do and maybe I can be of help. You're in Ravenclaw right? I've studied with a few Ravenclaws and no offense but this isn't a race. We're all trying to pass."

Of course. I’d nearly forgotten about that. I’m half, and my parents are some sort of magical conservationists that work in the Muggle world. So, I’m not use to using it all the time too. -offers hand- If you’ll give me the thimble, I can show you the spell. I’m always practicing at school since I don’t see a lot of magic at home. -smiles kindly, waving open hand in a dismissive gesture- I wouldn’t know what to wear or anything. I’ll probably be in the library that night. What are you going to go as?

"Well, I suppose you’re right." He sighed, ears perking up at the mention of chocolate. He wouldn’t really be cheating, only asking so he didn’t see the harm there was in merely asking. He sighed again, throwing his hands up. "Fine. I’ll ask. "

"Yay! You're the best, Remus. You really are. Thank you. Thank you! I get on those cookies. I'm a pretty good baker if I may say so myself." She leaned over the table and hugged him. "Now, what are you working on?"

It’s easy to forget sometimes. Especially if you’re not use to it at home. Do you come from a magical household? That’s very intrusive of me. I’m sorry. -pushes hair back behind ear- I don’t do so well with parties. I might as well be a fly in the pumpkin juice or something. -smiles tentatively-

Erm...no. I thought everyone knew that after Snape announced it to the world. Not that I'm ashamed. Nothing wrong with being Muggleborn. -Lily frowns- Don't say that! I'm sure if you went with the right people you could have a lot of fun!

I couldn’t find the book I was looking for in my bag and my mood turned bad. I looked down the corridor and in the next moment I started laughing. Evans with blond hair? No way! “Evans, what have you done?” I couldn’t stop laughing. “I mean, red was special, but now you’re very special.”

"Ha. Ha. Ha. If you must now this is payback that I'm going to try and correct." There was no way she was telling him what sort of payback. Oh yes, I dared Marlene to steal and wear a pair or your best mate's boxers and this is what she does in revenge.

"I’m not entirely sure that’d work. For one, he might know it’s for someone else seeing as I never ask him for help on my work and second—do you honestly think James pays attention?"
