1.) The main point of the article that Karlie Harman is a football player. For example, she won the Player of the Year award from Dulles South Youth Sport. Another example, “Karlie became the first girl to lead a team to a county championship game.” These two specific examples show the development of the main idea because it shows how she developed when she was a football player. 

2.) PURPOSE:  The purpose of writing that article to show the readers how Karlie achieved her goal being a football player. He used it in the good why because he showed us Karlie’s achievement in a good way. 

ARGUEMENT: The main point of the article that Karlie Harman is a football player. Yes, the message is clearly communicated. They showed us how the main point developed. The article does not miss anything. The thing that could help us understand more the document is that he don’t talk about other American football player , he should talk about Karlie only.

Portraying people with disabilities in entertainment media is unfair!

Popular media portrayals of people with  disabilities are often unrealistic and limiting. The one-dimensional victim often portrayed in popular media accounts bears little resemblance to the actual lives of individuals with disabilities.

in my opinion its totally unfair to portray people in social media especially ones with rare disabilities because sometime they have problem communicating with people around them and then if someone portray them they might have mental issues, for example in The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time Christopher has Aspergers syndrome and has problem with communicating with people and that sometimes he laugh at things he things it weird but for people without Aspergers syndrome is normal , so don’t portray someone with disabilities without understanding them.

I totally agree with Mouza, because portraying people with disabilities may hurt their feelings. Also, portraying people with disabilities is not a positive attitude. Also, you must understand them individually, before portraying them. Especially, the people with Asperger’s syndrome, because they are different than us. Also, I agree when she said that Christopher has a problem communicating with other people. For example, she said that he laughs at things he thinks are weird ; But for people without Asperger’s Syndrome is normal. So, that is why I agree with Mouza.

Christopher’s decision

Christopher decides to live with his mother in London. He makes this decision because he does not feel safe with his father. Like, when his father lied to him about who killed Walton. Also, when he lies to him when he tells him that is mother is dead.

There is contradiction. Christopher hate to be touched by humans but not animals. Because he really gets annoyed. He hate physical by others like when the policeman hit him he hit him back.

Lying is always wrong

Telling lies do not help one in every situation and definitely a lie would be caught at some point of time. while telling a lie, you might get escaped for the time being, but would definitely be caught. Telling the truth at times does require great courage, but a person who speaks the truth is always respected and loved by others.

To put it out flatly, I disagree with you.

Yes, of course lying is wrong and unacceptable most of the time, but in some circumstances, it may be a good thing that prevents bad things from happening. An example of a good lie is if a child’s mother was viciously murdered. I would tell the child that she was really sick and died because the poor child’s brain can’t digest such terror. Another example of a good lie is if you need to lie to save your life. It would be ridiculous if someone was pulling a gun at your head telling you to say you like Sonic the Hedgehog 06 or he’ll shoot you and then you end up tell him the truth saying you don’t like the game because you “can’t lie” then he shoots you. Go by this motto: Lying before Dying. So lying in some situations is a really good thing and the better decision to make.

I disagree with kiwimepiles

Lying is never acceptable, it’s one of the most awful things you could do to break someone’s trust. Sure, if it meant lying would save your life and end up not getting killed I would lie immediately, and if a person decided not to and stuck on his belief of not lying I think that person is crazy. On the other hand, lying to a kid about what really happened to his mother is completely wrong. This kid will grow up and at some point he will have to know the truth, after all this is his mother and he deserves it. Of course he will suffer with pain, but he will suffer more if he found out the truth later after lying for years. In conclusion, I’d say sometimes you have to lie but only in certain circumstances, and lying to someone will always hurt more than telling the truth. So I’d go with telling the truth for everyone’s benefit, it might seem that you are protecting someone from the truth and all the pain that comes with it but that person deserves to know, everyone does.

Impact of Social Media

Social Media is a new, developed way of communicating and sharing information amongst friends, family, and other people online. Social media makes us aware of everything happening around in the world. We become more connected to the world around us. Other than it bringing family together and helping us socialize, what are other ways Social Media helps us connect with the world around us?

On Social Media each person becomes a representative of his/her country. We find ourselves learning about ceremonies or celebrations a person in Spain has. This way we learn about different countries and their different beliefs as well as spreading  a good image of our country.

On Social Media you have the opportunity to support cases happening on the other side of the world. You can get involved by providing your support. If there is any political case in a certain country you can support and leave your impact in the world.

We can also spread awareness around the world. Let’s say it is cancer awareness week you can leave you fingerprint by spreading awareness pf this disease.

To conclude, social media helps a person become more involved with the world around him.

I agree with this statement“There is no such thing as ‘normal’ when it comes to human beings.”. For example, Christopher he has Asperger’s syndrome. Also, he doesn’t understand emotions. He also, acts weird some how. He is bright but he does not have strength in some cases.

Another example, is his parents. His father , doesn’t understand him which shows abnormality. Also, when he gets angry at Christopher. His mother is another example too, it shows abnormality when she decided to leave the house. she decided to leave because she thought it would be great for Christopher and his father to live alone together.

Christopher’s fight with his father

 When Christopher came back home. He went to the kitchen holding his book. When he entered he saw a video was open. And he didn’t realise that he left the book on the kitchen table. So, his father entered and he saw the book and read what did Christopher wrote. Then, his father started shouting and asking did u really saw Alexander. He was like,“Yes”. His father was like ,“What did i tell you?”.Then, he repeated the question ,“What else did i tell you”. He replied, “i don’t know”.His dad said “Come on”.  But he couldn’t think. His dad said “ stop putting your nose into people business and telling it to everyone like Tom, Dick and Henry”. ( not exactly )... Christopher was like “ I was doing chatting with Mrs. Alexander. I wasn’t doing investigating.” His father was like “ I ask you to do one thing for me, Christopher. One thing." Christopher was like, "I didn't want to talk to Mrs. Alexander. It was Mrs. Alexander who -".But then, he grabbed Christopher from his arm really hard. Then Christopher hit his father back but he didn’t let go Christopher and he was shouting. Then Christopher hit him again. Then for a while Christopher had a memory lost. After he got his memory back he saw blood in his right hand and his head was hurting him .

Christopher’s Mother and Father

Judy Boone is Christopher’s mother. She was a good friend of Mr.Shears. It was told that she she was bought to the hospital. They knew at the hospital that she had a heart attack.

Ed Boone lovingly and diligently cares for Christopher. Yet, he can’t understand Christopher’s behaviour sometimes.
