Sometimes, I make patterns! Here are a few based on summer produce from this past July
New work for ProPublica! I got the chance to illustrate something for the launch of their Investigative Editor Training Program. Big thank you to David for the fun assignment!
New work for Scientific American! I had a lot of fun creating this illustration for an article on the exciting possibilities of recent space milestones after a tough year. Big thank you to CD Michael for a super fun assignment (dinos and space!).
Illustration for Hire A Helper! This accompanies a guide on moving from LA to NYC.
A teeny, tiny bakery for the super fun toy store Marnin Saylor in Seattle. This little bakery shows their toys helping out with the baking process
Illustration for Architect Magazine January 2022 for their yearly forecast
Illustration for the LA Times on 'ponic farming in 2021
Illustration for Philadelphia Magazine on the future of the Philly fitness world post-pandemic.
One last little sticker for the late, great CW Pencil Enterprise (formerly located on Orchard Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan). This sticker celebrated their amazing 7 years as purveyors of fine graphite.
Work for Lume Cannabis Co.! I did a two posters for two of their locations–Lume Cheboygan and Lume at Pine Knob (formerly DTE Energy Music Theater) in 2021
Illustration for an article on a woman’s moving and difficult decision to have her stomach removed to prevent cancer. Big thank you to AD Meredith
Series of illustrations for Inman’s 2021 Year in Review
An updated take on my piece from a few years ago inspired by gut flora and fauna
Back on Tumblr for the first time in a while, so time for a little reintroduction!
My name is Meredith Lynne and I’m an illustrator, pattern designer, and–despite all odds–somewhat successful plant parent. Formerly based in NYC, I moved back to my hometown of Detroit not too long ago. When not drawing, I can usually be found trying to perfect homemade Hot Pockets or attempting to stop her two cats from bullying her pup. Her work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, 3x3 Magazine, and Creative Quarterly. I’m currently available for freelance.
Illustration for “Potatoes & Molasses”, a fanzine inspired by Over the Garden Wall organized by the fabulous Molly Magnell. My contribution was inspired by the tea heirs in “Mad Love”–Magueritte Grey and Quincy Endicott. You can snag a copy of the zine here https://www.otgwzine.com/ and see all the other AMAZING artwork!
Another one for the CWPE blog, all about my Every Day Carry. Head on over to find out about the dumb amount of things I carry with me on a regular basis!
So, I made a speculum enamel pin. Those flowers are my backing card. I debuted it at MoCCA Fest this past weekend. Now it’s available on my Etsy.
Check it out.
