The Book of Mormon
a show like drunk history but it’s called drunk special interests and the guest infodumps about their special interest instead of talking about a history topic
say in the tags what you would be drinking and what your topic would be
Hear me out here:
A television show done in the style of The Office or Parks and Recreation, except it takes place backstage in a touring company of a failing Broadway musical.
We never find out what the musical is ever about. We just get shown bits and pieces of dialogue, songs, and choreography throughout the episodes. But every new piece of the musical that’s revealed only adds to the mystery… it’s just a confusing hodgepodge of genres and seemingly unrelated side plots and characters.
bonus if it includes the tech people who make sure the show goes smoothly (!!!) and not just the actors as the main characters
What if it’s all about the tech people and the actors are really only seen in passing and when they show snippets of the show. Kind of like the customers in the show Superstore.
I love it. tech people don’t get enough representation tbh and I think that would also be great for the whole “wtf-is-this-show-about” because you can see a costumer mending two costumes from completely different time periods, so much you can do with set and props and even load-ins and honestly don’t get me started on this tbh
Exactly, and the orchestra is like the “popular kids” and you rarely see them, but they get talked about all the time, so when they do come in, it’s a really big deal.
the stage manager has a fairly obvious crush on the conductor, and the tech crew departments have a betting pool going on how long it’ll take for the two of them to get together (the orchestra found out and have a separate pool running by sections)
Okay, so which of you is secretly super rich and wants to fund this?
*slams reblog button*
I would pay all the money to fund this
More “wtf are humans, please leave the rest of us be” stuff:
Human reactions to fear!
No, I’m not talking about screaming or freezing in one spot and pissing yourself. I’m talking about the weirder, more specific-to-only-humans fear reactions.
Like singing.
Idk how many of you have watched people play horror video games, but a surprising amount of people start narrating what’s going on in a sing-song voice.
Imagine being an alien, walking in a horrific, dark tunnel with these weird gangly creatures, you’re all scared out of your wits and then one of them starts fucking singing.
In a dark cave. While everyone’s terrified.
“ ♫ ~We are all gonna fucking die, this is terrible and I wanna go hooooome~ ♬ ”
La Cage Aux Folles was absolutely incredible tonight, can't put into words just how amazing it was to finally see a show that has held such a dear place in my heart. Also John Partridge (Albin/Zaza) tweeted me - my heart is so full and happy tonight 💕 The best of times is now 😊
I finally get to see this show tonight - super excited!!

Drunk Amy last night thought it was hilarious that a drag queen came up to her while lip syncing Alaska Thunderfuck's 'Hair' ("this is my hair. I don't wear wigs") and to have the response 'aye, you and me both doll' Sober Amy agrees, that's actually pretty funny...
Alan’s bi jokes give me life.
“I decided the only way to overcome this was to do what I’ve always done with things that scare me: Dive right into the centre of the fear, smother myself in it, understand it, control it, beat it and then enjoy it.” ~ Alan Cumming
side show 💚

The thing is, I get told I’m going to hell all the time, but all of my friends are going to be there, so it’ll be an absolutely fabulous place!
