Where my Wiccan Journey began.
A city girl once walked into a clothing store called Urban Outfitters. Blissfully unaware of the people around her as she searched through the racks to find something new.
As she ventured over to the isle of âother thingsâ, a green shimmer with a familiar symbol caught the corner of her eye.
Then she walked over, her eyes began to widen, her fingers met the book titled âWiccapediaâ. Strange at first she thought, until she read the blurb. Intrigued, she opened it to find knowledge of a world sheâs never known before.
She clutched onto the book and took it to the till. As the cashier closed the sale, her face then beamed with a smile.
On the train home, she ran through the pages cover to cover. Unsatisfied, she began to dive deeper in search for more.
Years later today, with an eclectic collection of tarot cards, crystals, herbs, incense, natural water, salt and candles later. She declares her self a Wiccan Witch, and wears her pentacle pendant proud.
I am she. She is me. This is my digital grimoire.
I love your story! All the best on your path!

"Controlled blasting" for Mr Trump's border wall is taking place at sacred gravesites, tribes and lawmakers say.
Colonialism is not a concept of a bygone era.
I was talking with my dad about this yesterday and he said âthey arenât breaking a few eggs to make an omelette, breaking the eggs is the goalâ and I think that really sums up the entire âborder securityâ nonsense. We donât need a wall or a fence or concentration camps. Theyâre using âsafety of (white) Americansâ (which is not really under threat at all) as an excuse to destroy sacred land and indigenous graves and imprison and kill people, which is what theyâve really wanted to do all along.

Please reblog, this is so important.
I needed this
Is this foreal?
Yes itâs a real service. I do volunteer work for a rape crisis support service in my city and texting is one of the features we provide as well. But just to boost its credibility, I tried it myself:
reblog to save lives!
You can also text âSteveâ to 741741 if youâre a young person of color. The website for more info is stevefund.org
My understanding is that itâs more multicultural and some folks feel more comfy with that in mind!

I never knew this. Itâs spectacular.
Prompt:
The universe seems to be full of opposing forces or states. It is common for people to fall into a habit of âblack and whiteâ thinking. Take time to consider some of the opposing things in your life.  We often look to correspondences in a clear-cut manner, but there is a significant âgrey areaâ around them. Consider:
How do the ideas of masculine and feminine both fit within you? What aspects of you or others exist outside of those boxes?
Contemplate the times of dusk and dawn. Consider how the symbolism we attach to day and night mix at that point, both existing at once.
Consider emotions of anger. What other emotions are tied within that emotion? Are there roots of sorrow or pain or fear within that rage?
Devote a page of your journal to investigating and reflecting upon âoppositesâ of some form. Explore the idea: can both sides be true at once? The word âandâ may be useful in this process. (example: There is hope in the dawn and a fear of the unknown dark.)
Weather Magic
The term âweather magicâ or âweather witchingâ has been used to mean anything from divination and forecasting of weather to actual control and manipulation of the weather itself. From calling up treacherous storms to destroy anotherâs crops or providing fair winds for those at sea, witches (and even those who do not consider themselves to be such) have always been involved with weather magic. When you consider that most forms of magic are based around an agricultural past, the ability to affect and predict the weather was considered an invaluable skill. After all, if your familyâs livelihood depended on the success of your crops (or the ability to find water as it did in my familyâs case), weather magic would be an extremely handy thing to know.
Why the url Storm Born Witch?
I am quite fortunate, as the gift for weather related magic comes easily to my family. For generations, the men in my family have been dowsers or water diviners. However, it wasnât until after I displayed an aptitude to weather related magic that I was told about my familyâs history with it.
My grandfather was the last water diviner in the family and he died when I was very young so I was never taught how to divine for water. My grandmother was the one to teach me what little she knew about weather magic - the rest either occurred naturally or I picked up along the way.
Whistling Up A Wind
This is the most common form of weather magic and has been practiced for hundreds of years. Depending on the pitch and tone of the whistle a witch can create a gentle breeze or a sharp gust of wind. Traditionally, if the skill of whistling up a wind does not come naturally to you the option of making a âwind whistleâ out of willow or alder wood is available.
Here in Australia, whistling up a wind is probably the most common form of magic I do. I honestly do not go a day without whistling up a cool breeze. Itâs bloody hot here and sometimes a cool breeze is just what you need.
Storm Casting
Storm casting is the art of creating storms. There are many different methods to creating storms and bringing rain. The method used by my family is to fill a jug with water and while sitting outside (or facing a window) pour the water into a basin or bowl (I just use a wash basin I inherited from my mother - see below). Dip the tip of your pointer finger into the water and slowly make five clockwise circles in the water (if you have a pendant necklace this can be used instead - just above the water in the bowl).
As you are making the circles call the wind to bring in a storm by blowing (or whistling a continuous low note - the sound of wind over the mouth of a glass bottle) over the water in the basin.
Storm Catching
Storm catching or âreeling in a stormâ is even more difficult than storm casting so itâs always wise to think before you cast. Too much energy put into a storm and it will go on for weeks (and cause some flooding - basement incident) or it will be extremely violent and knock down power lines and tree branches. Too little energy and all you will get is a 5 minute shower of rain.
The most common way to catch a storm is by binding it in string/rope or in a bottle. The storm can then be released from the bottle or string at a more opportune time by pulling out the cork or undoing the braid/knots.
How can you draw energy from storms?
Hello cesiore, drawing energy fromstorms is a bit like grounding in that you are taking energy from somethingelse to either increase or equalise your own personal energy. I really wouldrecommend reading THIS post I made earlier about grounding if youâve never done any energywork before.
Alright, so like our bodies, thephysical world around us is full of energy. When working magic you will oftenfind the need to recharge expended energies, or build up energy quickly beforeperforming a task.
Nature has a smorgasbord ofenergies to choose from. It flows within the ground, travels through the heatof the sun, and is found rumbling in the heart of storms. While energy can be pulledthrough walls and ceilings (so you could do it inside) there is no feeling likestanding out in a storm and drawing its energy into you. Park shelters, gazebos, verandas and balconies are the best because you still feel exposed tothe storm while minimising the danger.
Once youâve got your place itâstime to draw energy from the storm. To start, you should first visualise thestormâs wild and chaotic energy. If there is thunder and lightning, try to feelthe tension and electricity in the air. Breathe it in. It should taste likeozone. If you need to close your eyes to visualise you are more than welcome.
Now grasp a tendril if the stormsenergy and pull it towards you. Feel its turbulent energy entering you and mergingwith your own energy. The best way to describe how you feel after drawing in energyfrom a storm is electrified. The hair on your arms stands up and you feel likeyou need the throw yourself out into the storm so that you can dance and singunder its majesty.
Typically, people use their feetand hands to absorb energy. However, any area of your body is capable of takingenergy in and you should use this to your benefit.

Storm Sorceress' Tips for Starting Storm Craft
Visualization. Practice it as much and as often as you can. You want to be able to create any type of storm in your mind, and work with it. It doesnât have to be physically storming outside for you to be able to use the energy of a storm in your spell work.
Appeal to your senses. Sight. Do you see lightning creating different colors in the sky? Winds forming into a tornado? Snowflakes falling? Sound. Is it loud booming thunder? Icy quiet? Smell. Can you smell the rain on the road? The crispness of the falling snow? The ocean water rising? Taste. Can you taste fresh or salty water? Dirt or dust? Touch. Do you feel warm or cold? Strong winds and waves, or soft raindrops?
Symbolism. Decide what the elements of the storm mean to you. Maybe youâve always loved snow, but are afraid of thunderstorms. You might have no fear, and feel the urge to be a storm chaser.
Collection. When it does storm, decide which elements youâre going to collect. If you donât plan to use them right away, research the best method for storing them safely.
Spend time in a storm. If you are able to do so safely. Allow yourself to take in energy from it.
So ah, what is the chilliad?
the chilliad is a retelling of homerâs iliad, set in the american college fraternity system and told by freshman student homer to a set of police officers who are holding him for 24 hours after a fire at one of the fraternity houses.Â
mostly it is the story of a group of real dumb twenty year olds seized by âthat fatal american need to have a good time.â
as a reminder, you can subscribe for updates! itâs a mix of side stories and chapter updates. it is not regularly updated. i am a nightmare person.Â
