For more info of him, he's a version of Sonic who got killed by Metal Sonic. Yes, Metal Sonic ambushed him after catching him off guard when Tails and Amy got attacked by a bunch of badniks during a battle between Sonic and his friends against Eggman. And yes, Tails is the one who revived him by turning him into a Frankenstein-like hedgehog, because Tails didn't want to lose him. Yeah, i know i'm terrible at writing lores, i'm not a good writer sooo...
Yeah, his personality remains the same as Sonic's, cocky and positive, but the differences are that Contorted.exe is less cheerful, not free-spirited and rather gloomy. He's often frowning due to who he has became and what has happened to him. It's quite hard for him to accept that he's become a monster, but at the same time, he has the urge to kill Eggman and destroy Metal Sonic as revenge, but his trauma holds him back, causing him to fear Metal Sonic a little.
According to his appearance, it is heavily implied that Metal Sonic must have sliced and shredded him into pieces.
Despite being called Contorted.exe by the other exe's, his name is still Sonic.
Contorted.exe has an 'Overcharged' form, but it hasn't made its appearance in the main story... Y E T . . .
The concept of this 'exe' is likely inspired by the Tim Burton movie "Frankenweenie".
Contorted.exe hates Eggman and Metal Sonic. LITERALLY. He hates them so much. You might know why or not.
Contorted.exe's limbs and parts can actually detach by accident or on purpose, even though they can still move, despite being separated from him. Don't worry, it only happens rarely unless if you pull his limbs or parts too hard... Also yes, you can literally detach his head or ears.
Compared to the original Sonic himself, Contorted.exe is much more merciless, yet gloomy at the same time. Unlike the original Sonic, Contorted.exe completely abandoned his 'moral code'.
Contorted.exe and Kolossos won't get along lmfao.
Yes, Contorted.exe DID gain Electrokinesis in the middle of the process of being revived, of course.
