i'm offering y'all a doodle of my hawke and anders that i just threw together today!! i've never been more hyperfixated ever i fear i'm so very normal about anders... i wanna say that in this anders is still a bit upset about not having justice under control when saving the mage in dissent and york is just comforting his squishy lil mage boyfriend

also gonna infodump a lil about my hawke!! his name is yorkshire pudding, but he goes by york! he's a warrior and very strong and dependable (anders saves their ass like 90% of the time).. he's very much purple hawke and while he's a traumatised funny man, he cares very much about anders and loves him oh so dearly. york is cisgender, but doesn't mind the use of they/them pronouns alongside he/him, and is very non-conforming when it comes to their appearance. they like to paint their nails, he also wears eyeliner and is very enthusiastic about his beautiful long hair :3

it's been three days since i started da2... anders did in fact lose some of his whimsy but it's FINE i love him for his rights AND his wrongs

however i am really enjoying the gameplay and i can see myself replaying it many times bc i love the banter and the general dialogue (purple hawke has my entire heart i love purple hawke so much)

i'm like halfway through awakening and GOD anders has to be my favourite companion in the dlc (which WORRIES ME because like what if he loses his whimsy in da2...) so i had to draw him and ser pounce-a-lot!!! they're my sillies!!!!!

(not so) lil awakening ramble: i'm really glad i waited until i read the calling before starting awakening bc imagine my EXCITEMENT when i heard the darkspawn mention the architect and then saw the architect and utha in the silverite mines like !!!! it was definitely worth waiting til i finished the book first!! also the way that the architect just understands her is so interesting i want to know MORE (granted it's been like 22 years between the calling and awakening so they've been working together for a WHILE)(also probably could just be a darkspawn thing) i will say when i started awakening i was SO overwhelmed with all the quests but i'm breezing through now! i gotta admit, i did tell alistair that oghren was HIS problem now, i never liked oghren and lowkey like ignored him after i finished the deep roads in the base game, like i didn't even do his companion quest LMAO (also canonically would probably be one of the few people crumpet just does not like. he's a very kind lad so i think that says something) i do really like the other companions though, and the banter is SOOOO good!! (except the fact that anders and velanna keep repeating the same one every time i'm in vigil's keep) also had a moment with my friend where he was saying that he restarted three times to try and get sigrun's companion quest to work and i got it first try (which i was very happy for because the dlc was running so much worse than the base game for whatever reason (aside from the fact that it is such a buggy mess) i'm very determined to finish awakening and do witch hunt and THEN move onto da2!! mostly since it seems to be the shortest of all the games so maybe i won't take like 30 more hours than i need to finish it but also i'm really intrigued about the companions (maybe except for sebastian idk i am not interested)(not that it matters my hawke is a guy)

anyway as a lil reward for reading all that yapping y'all can see the timelapse!!!

if i manage to finish my current save with Nico before i finish inquisition (highly likely considering i'm still on awakening) i'll play her save next!!

but for now she's just chilling in arlathan forest, bathing under the trees after calming an artifact!!!!

The "Hero of Ferelden" everyone is adoring, and he can't even hold a sword <//3

I finally finished Dragon Age: Origins last night (at least the base game)(i still have a bunch of dlc to do) and so Crumpet here is our Hero of Ferelden!! However!! This man is so Weak. so Puny. He cannot lift a sword he's just a lil pretty mage man!!!! My plan now is to finish reading The Calling and then do Awakening and Witch Hunt and then FINALLY, after a year and a half of playing DAO, move on to DA2!!!
