Falasteen (latinised to Philistia in historical sources) established in c.1175 BC (x)

Greek and Roman sources mention Palaestina (Roman) and Palaistinê (Greek) and its presence throughout the Persian and Hellenic period. (x)

Is incorporated into the Roman Empire in 135AD and is known as Syria Palaestina in historical records until 390AD when it is conquered by the Byzantine Empire (x)

Seperated by the Byzantine Empire into Palaestina Prima and Palaestina Secunda and remains so until 636AD (x)(x)

Becomes a unified Byzantine province (known as Palaestina Salutaris) (x)

In 638AD Falasteen is incorporated into the military district of the Ummayad and Abbasid Caliphate in the province of Bilad-al-Sham (modern day Syria) this lasts until the 10th century. (x)
