Testing the new VFD for my drill press. I'm tapping a 1/4 20 hole in plywood. For anyone who does not know it's a programmable computer that allows you to control the motor speed and direction. I think the mark of any quality machine is how easily it can be tuned up. This saw had been neglected and was cutting poorly and vibrating. After changing the belt, crowning the tires and balancing the wheels this is the result. It passes the nickel test. Got a sweet 1970's Italian made Agazzani NRA 500 bandsaw yesterday. 20" wheels 12.75" resaw. Paint is a little rough but it all is working. Going to clean it up put it to work. Does anybody know if "cav. 2" means 2 horsepower in english. #woodworking #agazzani #tool #vintage #vintagemachinery
