“Today’s lesson will be very, very important, perhaps one of the most important as of yet. You are to learn how to properly dispose of a body and how to frame someone for murder, so pay very close attention.”
Kristoph delicately rolls up his sleeves until they’re just past his elbows, slipping on a pair of rubber gloves. It was best not to leave fingerprints. Sapphire blue eyes glanced to the younger man out of the corners of his eyes, offering a kind and genuine smile to him.
“I’ve gone through the trouble of bringing in two practice dummies for today, but you’ll want to make sure they stop breathing before you begin. It’s a bit more difficult to work when they’re struggling, you see? So, get your gloves on and we’ll begin, hmm?”

Apollo had fallen into a pit of darkness. One from where he wouldn’t be able to get out.
The young man was standing there, watching as his mentor prepared himself to start his lesson. Or training, like sometimes Mr. Gavin would call it, like if he were some kind of vicious dog being taught how to attack people.
It wasn’t a very charming comparison, but it wasn’t wrong at all. Apollo couldn’t consider himself a human being anymore.
Not since he first killed someone.
It had been an act of pure revenge. His best friend had been murdered and the rookie attorney wanted justice. He did his best to put his faith on the law, but in the end, it was all in vain. They couldn’t find the culprit, so that’s why he started investigating by himself. Even if he was just a rookie, Apollo was a suprisingly bright young man, which in the end resulted in him finding out who the murderer was…
And, when he finally found him, his mind went blank.
He would never forget the warmth of the blood in his body, his clothes sticking to his body due to the red wetness, how his body shook violently and how he couldn’t stop crying. Apollo had ended up calling his boss, confessing his crime with a shaky voice and constant sobs.
And he had understood. He was willing to help him. But he hadn’t expect Mr. Gavin to… help him like this.
Apollo raised his head, staring at the two mumbling and trembling bodies in front of him. They were bound, gagged and blindfolded, totally unable to escape from their terrible fates. Mr. Gavin always told the young man that the victims he chose were disgusting human beings, usually criminals who hadn’t paid for his crimes, but weren’t they just the same?
“Yes, sir.” The young man nodded, speaking with a monotone voice. It had been a while since he last smiled. He had forgotten how to, and if even if he wanted to, there was nothing to smile at. Apollo put on his gloves, getting close to the bodies. “Shall I strangle them, sir?”
“You may choose whatever method you should like most, Mr. Justice, as long as you do not get the room messy just yet. If you feel like you can’t finish the job, then a simple snap of the neck will be more than enough to suffice.”
It had been a few months since Kristoph had taken the boy under his wing and he had to admit, Apollo was making quite good progress! The boy was learning quickly and seemed to do well with this, though he still had quite a ways to go before Kristoph would even remotely consider letting the boy tag along on his own missions. But eventually, one day would come where they could go out and properly work together to bring the world justice.
Granted, when they’d first started out, it had taken awhile to console the distraught boy, as well as clean up and dispose of both the evidence and the body. He’d let the boy take a nice, long shower, given him some clothing to wear and a bit to eat before letting him rest good and proper. The first few weeks were spent cautiously gaining the boys trust and working him towards this training, which they now did weekly or even every other week, depending on how heavy work was. Frankly, he couldn’t be prouder of him!
“You’re doing very well, Mr. Justice, I assure you. Just keep a calm and collected mind, yes? These people, they’re sinners, quite awful ones at that, and we are simply bringing upon them the judgement they deserve. You’re doing a good thing by ending their suffering.”
He made sure to always praise the young man often, it gained trust quite easily after all! Trust between mentor and student, especially in this sense, was very important. Not to mention, he was sure it gave some sort of incentive to the young man as well. The poor boy was so broken, so easily bent into shape like this, it was almost sad, really!
