I'm rewatching jjba and was thinking how so many of dio's minions just appear for like 2 episodes (if they aren't just hiding while their stand gets all the attention) then vanish. I can't help but think what else are these guys like besides the quick glimpses we see of them. So i picked a few of my fav part 3 villains to write about...though I think it's kinda obvious my fav is Hol Horse. Anyways here are some headcanons on what it would be like to be in a relationship with these goofballs + some general headcanons.
Hol Horse 🐎
He can be very flirty, and gives lots of compliments. He does this to a lot to other women, but that doesn't mean what he says isn't genuine, he means it.
He has issues with committing to one relationship. If he were to be in a long term committed relationship, he'd want them to be a drifter like him.
Being in a relationship with him involves lots of traveling and action. You travel with him by many means, in a car, on a horse, on an elephant, or even on a motorcycle (thanks 90s jojo ova for giving us the image of hol horse riding a bike)
He likes it when the two of you are riding horseback and you hold onto him from behind...he misses it when he rides alone.
He keeps a picture of you in his wallet
He can get very protective of you and even somewhat jealous. You have to stop him from shooting random dudes who stare at you for too long or try to flirt with you.
Isn't interested in getting married or settling down with you, at least for now. He just wants you by his side as he travels the world.

Similarly to Hol Horse, he can get protective/jealous of any man who looks at you too long. He uses his stand to inflict severe pain on guys who get the wrong idea.
I think he might be interested in settling down. He likes to tell people he's just a poor guy struggling to make ends meet for his wife and kids...maybe the wife and kids part doesn't need to be a lie 😏

He does actually have a job as a kebab salesman, but that's just a distraction from his main source of income: stealing and extorting others.
I don't think he'd be bad towards his own kids if he were to have any, but he's not a good role model at all. He probably teaches them how to steal and intimidate the other kids.
Vanilla Ice 🧊
No matter what, he's still devoted to Dio. He'd probably only be with someone just as loyal as he is. Dio is his #1, but you can be his #2.
Dates with him are rare, as he's usually busy with whatever Dio commands him to do. It's more common to just spend short amounts of time together enjoying each others company while not doing anything in particular.
A good listener. Likes to listen to you talk. He's very quiet and rarely talks about himself.
Is willing to die for you and to kill for you
He thinks about settling down with you in the event that Dio wins and the Joestars are defeated. Until then, he's too busy for marriage.
In the event that Dio dies but Vanilla Ice somehow still lives...then he will marry you. You will become his new devotion.

He secretly loves sweets. And yes, he does love vanilla ice cream (may or may not be how he named Cream).
I think you dodged a bullet in that relationship. His constant focus on you instead of his own issues just shows his immaturity. The only advice I can give you is to ignore him and move on (do things you enjoy, like writing or watching movies/series you couldn't see because of him). Try not to think about him, because people like him sleep soundly knowing an ex is still thinking about them.

I ignored him the whole night except for that moment, even walking past to the exits I pretended he wasn't even there. It was really hard when he was pointing at my friend and I from across the way and talking behind his hand to his new girl. So immature. - That's because he has resources and contacts all over the world, not to mention that Bane's mind works at far greater levels than the average human brain. He KNOWS your psychology, he has observed you long enough to know how you think and what exact thoughts go through your mind. If you ran away, it would not be long before he found you. Honestly, the longest you could escape from him without the help of the Batman would be 3 days, possibly 5 if he takes a day or two to plan out your little reunion with him.
- Bane doesn't like to punish you, he rather hates it. You aren't meant to cower under his touch, you're meant to lean in to it. To seek it out for protection, for when you have lonely nights and need his body close to yours, and to feel how he treats you so gently and softly compared to most others.
- Instead, if you do something bad that he doesn't like, he gently reminds you that it would take no effort to hunt down your loved ones and thats all he has to say. You stare at him as your imagination runs wild at what this hulking brute could do and when he sees that his threat has finally sunk in, he reminds you that it depends solely on you and your behavior if he'll make good of his threat or not. He then turns around and walks away, leaving you alone with your thoughts. You'll make the right choice and be more compliant from there, he's sure of it.
- Bane just really isn't a sadistic yandere to me, given his past, he doesn't want to break you nor does he want to hurt you, deep down; he truly does love you. So while he may not be a threat to YOU, he is a threat to those who he perceives to be threats or bad influences on you. They will be taken care of swiftly and without your knowledge.
- He will romance you naturally and considering his affinity for books, I garuntee you that he'll be hard to resist. Yes you will be put off by the fact he's a literal war criminal, terrorist, and supervillain...you also are not blind. He is a very fine specimen of a man, the accent and his softened behavior towards you definetly doesn't make it any easier for you to resist him. Even then, he is a man of substance and intelligence so there will definetly be an intellectual attraction in which you can talk to him about anything and he will engage with you about it.
- He is a prominent figure in the criminal underworld and holds a respectable reputation among other assassins and mercenaries, basically, no one is going to mess with you and if they do, they will die a lot sooner than they expected to.
- Okay but in the comics, after he uses venom, he canonically gets sleepy so not really a yandere thing but after using venom, he would most definetly seek you out to be his teddy bear. Holding you close to him as his strong grip keeps you in place as he begins to doze off.

I love himbos but BANE IS NOT ONE.
HE IS A COMPLEX AND INTELLIGENT INDIVIDUAL WITH HONOR. He is one of the BEST BATMAN villains because you can really feel how he parallels to Bruce in terms of ideals and that they both have a mutual respect for each other. HE IS SO UNDERRATED AND I LOVE HIM SM.

Summary: Bane (Arkham Origins ver.) comes back home to his base of operations to find you. You've been the only thing on his mind while he was carrying out a mission. All he wants is you...and to be in you.

Bane made his way back to his chopper, and as he stepped up onto the metal grating, his boots came down with a heavy, rhythmic thud. He was done working for that payaso, that twisted clown in a tailored suit, who had wasted his time with unhumorous jokes and incompetence.
Bane slumped into one of the leather seats, the aircraft tilting slightly under his weight. The whole time he had you on his mind. All he wanted was to have you in his arms, or more specifically on his lap. The thought of your sweet face calmed him, your touch grounded him, and he needed that more than ever.
His men flying the chopper shifted their eyes, darting away from his stony expression. They knew better than to question him or ask questions unless spoken to. One young recruit attempted to adjust his gear, the clink of a buckle sounding like a gunshot in the quiet. Bane didn't look at him, but the recruit froze.
The flight back to Bane’s secluded base was quick, and as he stared out the window, his mind was already miles ahead, picturing a specific pair of eyes and the way a particular scent would erase the filth of this mission.
When the wheels touched down, Bane jumped off the chopper and marched straight through the base. He passed the heavy steel doors of his venom storage, the faint, chemical odor of the toxins wafting through the vents. Usually, the sight of his arsenal brought a sense of cold satisfaction, but today it was merely a landmark on his way to you.
He had a type of apartment nestled in the heart of the complex, flanked by a lush courtyard where tropical ferns fought against the sterile military concrete. The heat was a nice contrast to the snow he had just been surrounded by earlier. Even a big brute needed a place to quiet his mind, read a book, or forget about the idiots that flanked him or hired him.
He took the quick route, his heart hammering a frantic rhythm against his ribs, but he just had to see you. As he neared the door, the air changed. The smell of grilled meats and simmering spices drifted through the hallway, and inside, the low hum of a television played, a soft murmur of voices that signaled life and warmth.
Bane paused, a rare, genuine smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as he pushed the door open and your smile greeted him.
"You're home early," you said, glancing over your shoulder from the kitchen. You were wearing an oversized shirt, no doubt his, as you worked on some sort of dish.

I’ve seen a few of those Tiktoks but not many. Honestly I think this would be such an interesting concept, especially if they are already married and then maybe find out one of their henchmen/goons are in love with them. I’m not exactly sure if you want this from the “Work Wife” or Wife’s pov so I did my best.
Dealing with the "WorkWife"
Summary: Short little writings on how the characters Harvey Dent/Two Face and Roman Sionis/Black Mask would react to a potential “work wife” while married to reader.
Notes: I have never written for Roman or really looked into his character past the Arkham games and DLC, so I’m so sorry if it’s bad or out of character. I went ahead and wrote Harvey and TwoFace separate as well because I think both would act differently in this scenario (yes I know it’s the same person, but circumstances are different). Sorry for the angst lol.
Warnings: Violence against women? (Sorry for the most part these villains only have the eyes and tolerance for one lady in their life)
Harvey Dent:
Is amused by the “work wife” fantasy, but is ultimately loyal to his actual partner.
• Harvey sat in the DA’s office, reading through the morning newspaper, ignoring the stack of files and papers he needed to sign and study. He moved his hand over to the tape recorder on his desk, he’d have to listen back to the recording and make some more notes on the case before the end of the day.
• “Good morning, Mr. Dent,” said the newest secretary, bringing in his morning coffee, “you look so good today by the way!”
• “Hmm, thank you,” he said respectfully, his voice and demeanor charming as always. He fiddled with the recorder, and watched as she walked around to the edge of the desk, sitting on top of it. He clicked record absent-mindedly.
• “You know it’s so funny how you’re always so nice to me, everyone else is always in a rush. Oh! I was talking to my friend about you the other day and she agrees you’re so handsome, like totally my type,” she rambled on, slowly inching closer on top of the desk,
• Harvey droned her out, sometimes it was amusing the way she acted, but after a while it got old. He’d tell her to stop talking so loud or stop grabbing his arm, and she’d never listen. She messed up or spilled coffee on him constantly and would just giggle. He’d often come home to you and rant and get angry about her interactions, and of course he had no control over firing her...another one would just replace her.
• In a way he was used to it though, he was always surrounded by beautiful women at conferences and banquets who would try and flirt with him nonstop, but at work he couldn’t get away, “it’s like I'm your work wife!”
• Harvey snapped back to reality.
• “I’m sorry, my work wife?” he said, laughing at the ridiculous notion. He waggled his fingers, showing off the wedding ring that gleamed, “I already have a real wife, I certainly don’t need a work one. You’re excused.”
• “But aren’t we having fun? You never talk about her anyways,”
• “Out!”
• She walked out the door, clearly thinking it was part of the game. Harvey sighed, running his hand down his face. He then looked over at the recorder in his hand, grinning. He would have to have you listen to what had just happened, knowing you’d get a good laugh out of it.
Roman Sionis/Black Mask:

• Roman Sionis was a sick man, a man who loved power and wealth, and often not much else. He needed to feel important and above all others, and this was something you knew, and something that you had to remind yourself of constantly. He flirted and gambled and often made dirty deals.
• Even before you were married he would be gone for days or ignore your calls and texts from time to time. You couldn’t stop your mind from wandering, and maybe he knew that because he would suddenly love bomb you with attention and affection and gifts.
• You never really got to see him, he was always working, and the location was always changing...which you knew only because you had tried to surprise him before.
• You frowned, fiddling with the ring on your finger. The apartment was luxurious but ultimately lonely most of the time.
• You knew you weren’t supposed to go in his office, but he had cameras and microphones in there, so maybe you’d be able to get a glimpse of what he was up to. It wasn’t like he was going to tell you.
• You fiddled around with his computer and volume for awhile, finding the password in a secret drawer under his favorite gun in his desk. That made you laugh a little, but then your heart seemed to drop as the volume clicked on and you could make out shapes on the cameras.
• You could hear a female voice and Roman, but the cameras were too blurry and staticky to see anything. You could hear a female voice talking and saying how she had accidentally told her friends about how Roman was her “work husband”. He had laughed at that, almost agreeing.
• You felt your blood boil, but you also weren’t surprised. She was who he must be spending his time with...and he didn’t exactly sound displeased.
• Later that night when he came back to the apartment you quickly confronted him.
• “She doesn’t mean anything to me, darlin,” he said huskily, running his gloved hands down your arms and holding onto your hips, “she’s just someone who cleans my guns and makes snacks for the crew and I. Admittedly it all tastes awful.”
• You frowned.
• “I wouldn’t put you in harm's way! Half the time the guns are loaded,” he laughs, “I only have eyes for you, My Dear.”
Two-Face:
He fucking despises the “work wife” fantasy, thinks it’s a cruel joke or way to undermine him
• TwoFace sat in his office, flipping his coin between his fingers. He stared at the bank blueprints on his desk, already annoyed that they were out of date. He’d have to once again accompany his goons because they couldn’t be trusted to carry out the task successfully.
• Suddenly a younger woman bounced into his office, way too cheerful, he’d honestly forgotten she had applied…or maybe she was related to one of the goons.
• Either way he groaned and stared at her, “why are you bothering me again? Didn’t I tell ya to knock?”
• He was already annoyed with her and she’d only been working for the past few weeks.
• “Well I just thought I’d come in and see how you’re doing. I have to make sure my work husband is having a good day,”
• Two-Face stared at her, anger bubbling to the surface, “I’m your boss. What the hell are you blabbering about?”
• “I just wanted to see how you were doing, see if you need anything…because I’ll do anything for you,”
• Two-Face grimaced as she held up a suit and matching set.
• “Also I thought it would be so cool if we matched. Wouldn’t that be so cute! I’d be like your mini me,” she laughed coming around to his desk and standing over him.
• “Who put you up to this?”
• “No one silly, but some of them do think I’m like your work wife. Like how cute! I mean you could totally use one that actually likes you and takes care of you,”
• “I’m married,” he said blatantly, moving to grab the gun at his side.
• “Oh well she never comes around. How much does she actually like you? Please I’ll do anything, just try on the suit! We can match!”
• Two-Face cocked the gun, and then checked his other one, clicking off the safety (why was it on in the first place?). She was still talking, and he couldn’t take it any longer. Who did she think she was?
• A shot, then another rang through the room and he stood up from his desk. He looked down at the tailored suit and matching set. It would fit you.
• Two-Face laughed as he exited his office, and quickly pointed a gun at the goons standing outside it, “never let someone else in there while I’m working, except for my actual wife. Got it?”
I want your professional opinion on this: how do you think the rogues would react if Reader flirted with them (even if they were already a couple, but the point is, did she do it in private or in front of other rogues)? For example, if Reader said something to Two-Face like, "I wish I were your coin so you could spin me around all night ;)" I'm sure their brains would short-circuit for a second,And I'd like to know how the other rogues would react in similar situations (Bane, Slade).
My professional opinion? I don’t know if I’m a professional on this but this ask is way too cute. Like imagine them trying not to get flustered or having to put up a front around their peers. Adorable! Also that flirty line is way too smooth, like hello? I couldn’t come up with something like that, but I’ll for sure try!

• Harvey sat in his cell, idly flipping his coin. His cell was the only one with bars, every other one had a small window barred off, something he was constantly thankful for so that he didn’t have to listen to the deranged lunatics around him. He already had enough voices in his head.
• However, one voice in his mind was always yours, you grounded him.
• He stared up at the flickering fluorescent lights in the cell block, never able to tell if it was day or night. He only knew how much time passed from the therapists and doctors trying new methods with him and recording the time and dates on their tape recorders.
• He knew they were making him worse.
• He gripped the coin, digging his nails into the palm of his hand. It didn’t hurt anymore, not really.
• Harvey could hear someone making their way down the cellblock, and he was quickly ushered away to the cafeteria. Another thing that helped him track time, but also angered him and made Harv go off the walls. There were only so many other inmates he could stand.
• TwoFace sat at a long table, not bothering to eat whatever slop was in front of him, he could never stomach it. He tried to drone out those around him, but it was useless. He slammed his hands down on the table, and then immediately anxiously went for his coin in his pocket.
• How ridiculous was he acting in these walls when he was nothing but suave and confident outside of them.
• The guards took him back to his cell and he sat in there with his coin and thoughts, wishing and hoping to get out, to get a chance to escape, to crawl home to you. He laid back on his rotting cot, flicking the coin into the air with a light chime each time, his other arm covering his face.
• He heard footsteps approaching again, but this time they almost seemed timid, as if sneaking around. He turned his head to the side, flipping the coin between his fingers with practiced ease, and he almost dropped it seeing your smiling face.
• “Sweetheart?” he smiled, almost falling as he rushed over to you, almost needy, “what are you doing here? How’d you get in? Are you alright?”
• “I’m okay,” you promised, smiling at him softly, adding in a hushed voice, “I wish I were your coin so you could spin me around all night,” and you added a little wink.
• He replayed your words over in his mind, and even Harv didn’t have a snarky comeback. God that could kill a man, especially one already deprived and losing his mind.
• He smiled at you through the bars, shoving the coin into his pocket and replacing it with your hands, his voice husky, “you know, I’d do more than spin you around all night, right Baby?”
• He held onto your hands tightly, as if he was scared you weren’t real, he looked around nervously, so thankful to get this moment seemingly alone with you.
• He loved when you teased him and dirty talked to him, but it made him needy and flustered. You were his and he wouldn’t want to share your time or words with prying ears.
• “Give me a distraction, and I’ll make that happen,” he grinned through the bars, making you smile.
• You let go of his hands, looked down either row of the cellblock, then brought out two pistols, and he grinned at you. How you got those in was beyond him, but it made him want you more.

Bane: Small short circuit, but then doubles down
• Bane sat in the yard of Arkham, an area that was basically a glorified slab of concrete with a maze of stone walls surrounded by tall green windows. It wasn’t much to look at, but the rain felt better than the hot and grimy walls of his cell.
• He didn’t pay attention to the other inmates, knowing if he needed to he could easily crush them, besides the hysterical laughing and mumbling was almost like a white noise to him by now.
• He missed you and your smiling face, the way you played around with him, your delicate hands on his rough ones. Although you didn’t act or believe that you were delicate around him...why? he couldn’t understand.
• He turned his attention over to Pamela as she sauntered over to the table he sat at, cooing to a small potted plant in her hands, and how the guards hadn’t noticed yet was beyond him...why she was out of her containment cell also another good question which he ignored.
• She didn’t bother him that much though, of all the inmates and characters in Arkham, he was most comfortable around her. Not that she compared to you though.
• “You’re going to have a visitor soon,” Pamela smirked.
• Bane frowned, “what makes you think that?”
• She shrugged, “heard it from the green.”
• Bane grumbled, standing to head back to his cell, he wasn’t in the mood, but noticed some guards bringing in the Joker and Harley on gurneys. They were strapped down, and still laughed manically...he wanted to snap their necks, or at the very least break their vocal cords. They were the most annoying to him. The guards moved them to an upright position, then stood quietly at attention next to them.
• The guards seemed unfazed, probably used to the lunacy around them as he had grown used to.
• Bane wished he could escape right now, be anywhere else...but just then you were escorted through the doors and into the courtyard. You were like a beacon of light, but the doors were immediately shut behind you and you jumped.
• You took in your surroundings cautiously before spotting Bane and running over.
• “Aye pequeña what are you doing here? Who let you in? Are you alright?” Bane brought his hands to your face, inspecting you nervously and fearfully.
• “I’m ok, really, I just came to check on you,” you then smiled at him mischievously, “I’ve been thinking about you breaking me.”
• Bane seemed to stop breathing as he looked down at you, and the courtyard seemed too quiet. He felt tense, almost embarrassed but not quite. The way you looked so innocent after saying something like that made him want to grab you and throw you over his shoulder.
• He smirked. He wouldn’t hurt you, no, but he found it endearing in way that you would use that word, he must say it too much.
• All of a sudden Joker and Harley started laughing hysterically again, and Pamela simply took her plant to the other side of the maze. Bane snapped out of his thoughts, pointing a finger over at the pair and shouting, “Cállate estúpidos payasos!”
• He turned back to you, leaning down to kiss the top of your head tenderly, “Lo siento, mi amor.” He whispered, smirking, “Go home, get cleaned up and comfortable...and give me a few hours.”
• Slade had been in his cell for a week now, trying to keep his mind strong. He had been sent to Arkham instead of Black Gate, rare, and he loathed the stupid staff member who would allow this to happen.
• Still he'd get out soon...he always did, and Arkham was much easier than Black Gate.
• He had lost count of the pushups he was doing hours ago, as Azrael and Floyd Lawton bickered back and forth about who-knows-what idiotic ideals, his mind was elsewhere.
• He wasn’t supposed to get caught, he had been sloppy. Still he bit back his anger and pride...he wanted to get back to you.
• It had been weeks since he last saw you, and sometimes it was longer, but this particular length of time he couldn’t get you off of his mind. You were a weakness to him...and one of the few weaknesses he took pride in, of course not that he’d say out loud.
• He heard someone walking down the cellblock and kept to himself, even when Lawton and Azrael started pointing and staring over at him. Lawton made crude gestures that made Slade want to disembowel him.
• “What is it?” Slade barked, suddenly stopping his sets and standing to his full height. He crossed his arms staring down the two mercenaries across from him who were quick to look away or look away and whistle.
• Slade looked past his cell to see you standing outside it. God Arkham had horrible security and staff.
• “Babydoll, what a surprise. Did you miss me?” he practically purred, and you nodded, motioning for him to come closer, and he sauntered over.
• “Do you want to put your gun in my holster?” you smirked, looking up at him through the bars of his cell.
• Lawton started coughing and choking and tried to cover it up, no doubt trying to eavesdrop, but it didn’t bother Slade. Nothing could when it came to you teasing him, he didn’t care what others heard come out of your mouth.
• Your eyes seemed to say “fuck me”, and he suddenly felt his blood flowing.
• “Hmm, mind repeating yourself baby doll? Want to try and be more specific?” he smirked, reaching his arm through the bars to settle his fingers under your chin.
• You just smirked at him.
• Oh he would be out of his cell in the next few minutes. Nothing was keeping him away from you...and Arkham was too easy.
• He worked his hands down to yours, bringing your knuckles up to his lips. He set little kisses on either hand, before slowly letting go.
• “Get home safe,” he grinned, “I’ll be right behind you.”

Headcanons | Chapter 1

Chapter One: Introductions
Chica stood on the stage with Freddy, Bonnie, and Roxy, waiting for their band manager to come back. He had news to tell them, and judging by his cold composure, it wouldn't be good. Chica had her arms crossed, biting her lip, “what do you think he’s going to tell us?”
“Beats me,” Roxy sighed, filing her nails.
“Everything will be just fine,” Freddy smiled, massaging Bonnie’s shoulders.
The band members were stand-ins for the animatronics that once covered the stage and most of the halls and attractions of the Mega PizzaPlex. Too many lawsuits and expenses to keep the animatronics functioning forced the company to come up with a different way to display their prized mascots, which led to hiring cast members. The process was particular and had to be exact, taking inspiration from theme parks that already existed, and trying to humanize beloved animal characters was rough. But Fazbear was able to work something out, even if it wasn’t perfect.
The manager of the band came back with files in hand and a young adult man, the same age as the rest of them, following closely behind him. His hair was red and styled into a slight mullet in the back, he had yellow star glasses covering his ruby-brown eyes, and his muscles rippled on his chest and arms.
Chica stared at him, studying him, and Roxy elbowed her, “Chica!” she whispered harshly.
“What? What happened?” Chica looked at her, and Roxy rolled her eyes.
Their manager coughed, snapping everybody back to attention, “if you all didn’t know already, we’re planning on making some changes to the bands line up!” Chica bit her lip, looking nervously at Freddy and Bonnie. “The company has decided to move Bonnie to the Bowling Alley full time, and move Monty from Gator Golf into the band full time. Foxy and Bonnie will make appearances as needed or for surprise appearances during holidays.”
“Wait what?” Freddy exclaimed.
“We’re moving Monty into the band so we have a drummer,” their manager stated, “apparently it’s been highly requested, and fortunately Monty knows the drums.”
“But Foxy played drums!” Roxy said.
“We’ll be expecting Bonnie’s green room to be cleaned out for Monty by the end of the week,” ignoring the band's protests and comments.
Roxy grimaced, knowing how Bonnie and Monty probably felt, she was the last one to get moved into the band, replacing Foxy, although he had been ok with leaving for the theater. She was lucky that the fans didn’t seem to mind.
“I’d like for you all to get acquainted with each other, since you’ll have a show in the coming weeks. We’ll be advertising it with posters and signings, so we’ll be doing a photoshoot in two days. Chica, I want you helping Monty with his costume and outfits for the shoot. If anyone has questions, I’ll be in my office,”
The manager quickly left with Bonnie and Freddy in tow. No doubt going to clean out Bonnie's green room in rockstar row. Roxy looked between Chica and Monty, and jumped off the stage, probably wanting to be anywhere else.
“Roxy wait!” Chica frowned, moving to get down from the stage, sitting and then sliding off to the ground, being careful.
“Where ya goin Cher?” Monty asked, his low Cajun accent boomed in the empty arena. Chica looked up at him, blinking, “Did ya forget?”
“Forget?” Chica asked.
“Yer supposed to help me with my costumes and such for the photoshoots,”
“Oh right,” Chica bit her lip, looking up at the man towering over her, “sorry sometimes I space out. I guess since everyone left we might as well get started.”
She felt bad moving so quickly, Bonnie's room wasn't even cleaned out and here she was being tasked to replace him. But, what was she supposed to do? She couldn't say no. She worried she and Freddy would be next, but Freddy was the brand. Foxy and Bonnie had areas of the pizza plex dedicated to them, and all she had was a glorified exercise studio. She chewed on her lip absentmindedly, deep in thought.
Monty watched her closely. Her usual bright and bubbly, sometimes ditzy, demeanor was replaced with one of worry. She walked forward as if in a haze. Then again, he only really saw her on stage or in passing. He watched as she was about to run into the closed door, obviously lost in thought. Monty brushed past her and opened the door, she looked up at him startled, breaking her out of her thoughts.
“S'everythin okay?” He asked.
“Yeah, yeah, just lost in thought I guess, thinking about your new look,” she smiled up at him. Monty eyed her over his glasses, not buying her little act, but he shrugged. She walked out the door, “we should probably swing by the theater and see if Foxy can help with your outfit. Did you have any ideas?”
“Just make me look like I fit in,”
She smiled, “that shouldn’t be hard, we’re kind of a band of misfits.”

Chica walked with Monty through the Mega PizzaPlex as other employees and lower ranked cast members ran around in a hurry. Opening hours were very soon, and it was usually this hectic, if not more, in the mornings. They walked quietly beside each other, and Monty could tell she was dying to talk about literally anything. He wasn’t much of a talker, but for her he thought he’d make an exception, if not to get this makeover over with comfortably.
“So did ya get hired for this role, or promoted?” Monty asked, turning his head in her direction.
“Oh! They hired me early on during the lawsuits along with Freddy, Bonnie, and Foxy. We were definitely the guinea pigs for the whole ‘Cast Members’ project. You should've seen the costume and rebrand process,” Chica said, her face flushing.
“That bad, hmm?” Monty grinned.
“For the boys it was easy, for me it was horrible! I mean you’ve seen the pictures of the old animatronics and cartoons, right? My outfits they sketched up were far from family friendly,” Chica shivered, “so the whole jazzercise/glamrock thing being what they decided on is kind of a blessing...kind of.”
“Kind of?” Monty smirked and Chica furrowed her brow at him.
“Well why are they moving you from the Golf Course? Did they tell you anything else?”
Monty smiled, “I worked in the Golf Course and then management approached me and offered me the promotion. It was either me or the guy that works in El Chip,” Monty smiled at Chica’s laugh she tried hiding, “I guess a gator sells better than a beaver...is that what he’s s’pposed to be?”
Chica nodded, cheeks rosy, “are you still working the golf course in between shows then?”
“Yeah, they still want me around for the kids and for pictures and autographs, I just get to roam a little more free. I guess it’s going well that way for all of you,”
“Did they say why Bonnie is being moved?” she asked softly.
“Oh, uhm, yeah. Somethin’ about the Bowling Alley needing to make more money, so their hoping if a core member is there full time it’ll pull in more ticket sales,” Monty said, “and that they needed more ‘diversity’ for marketing the band.”
Chica frowned, but seemed to accept that answer as fact. It did make sense, at least for the company to only care about money and want more, “no that makes sense. I mean that’s why they only have one of each of us right?”
“And then give us crazy schedules and expect us be two places at once,” Chica smiled at him, and there was something about her eyes that drew him in. Sure she was absolutely gorgeous, definitely the prettiest girl he’d ever seen, but he loved that she seemed so full of life. Then she seemed to get sad, “what’s wrong, Cher?”
“Oh nothing,” she said, fidgeting with one of her jelly bracelets, “just thinking about some stupid meeting I have to have later with management and the Mazercise studio about new events.”
Monty watched the way she snapped and twisted her bracelets, it didn’t seem like a small issue, but he admired her composure. He wanted to ask more, why he couldn’t tell. He didn’t usually care about other people’s emotions or problems, but she seemed too sweet to be put through anything horrible. He looked up as they entered the theater, not realizing how far through the building they’d come.
Chica suddenly got very excited as she ran down the ramp to find Foxy sitting on the stage preoccupied with some stack of paper, “Foxy!”
“Aye, Chica!” Foxy exclaimed, his voice deep with a bit of a Scottish accent behind it. He was an attractive man with auburn hair, although his roots were a dark brown. Monty felt his jaw tighten watching them hug, but he chose to keep his temper in check. Foxy looked up, “who might this be?”
“This is Monty, he’s...taking Bonnie’s spot in the core band, except he’ll be playing the drums,”
“Oh,” Foxy seemed sad as he looked at Chica’s forced smile, but he quickly greeted Monty with a firm handshake and slap to the back, “welcome aboard! I’m guessin’ yer here for costumes?”
Monty looked at Chica who nodded.
“Well yer in good hands, mate! If you need anythin’ just hollar!”
Chica smiled and then pulled Monty into the back and down two flights of stairs to a storage area. There were racks and shelves of stage outfits, old uniforms, costumes, and props, as well as old posters and signage. It seemed more like a graveyard for old marketing and memorabilia than a place that would hold costumes for the theater, but what did he know.
“Don’t be scared, start looking for something you might like. Remember you’re in a glam rock band, not the golf course,” Chica smiled, laughing lighthearted, “oh but you still need something that works for the golf course, but easier to change in and out of.”
“Is that why you and Roxy are half naked all the time?” Monty chuckled, getting a flustered response from Chica.
“Hey, I usually have more on than her,” she crossed her arms, “but her outfits are glittery. I wish mine were.”
Monty watched her body language, the way she spoke was lighthearted, but her shoulders were slumped as if she was disappointed. He kept going through the racks of clothes, noticing how small, tight, fuzzy, or glittery everything was. This really was an archive. He looked back over to Chica, who even wearing platform heels was struggling to reach a box on a shelf. He smirked, walking over to her.
“Need help, Cher?” he asked, voice low as he came up behind her, reaching for the box above her.
She wasn’t short persay, he simply towered over her in size and build, which he found amusing in multiple ways. If she wasn’t wearing platforms he could rest his folded arms on her head. As he pulled down the box he wondered what exactly she had been thinking. It was huge and probably would've crushed her.
“Oh, thanks Monty!” she smiled up at him, and in the dimly lit basement he could see her cheeks turn pink.
“What’s in here?” he asked, setting it down on the ground, and watched her immediately start digging through it.
“I just remembered there being some kind of partnership with some other brand a few years back. It didn’t last long because the animal characters were so obscure. But I remember there being a frog or something green, so maybe that would work for you,” Chica rambled as she dug, “you’re supposed to be an alligator, right? Maybe we could just add on the scales...”
Chica dug some more and then made a little triumph noise as she pulled out a coat and matching pants. She stood up quickly, and then pulled him over to a mirror in the corner. She held them up to him, frowning, biting her lip. Monty smiled down at her, feeling the urge to tug her lip out from under her canine. She was lost in thought.
“You’re massive...” she said, as if defeated, “this is seriously going to need some altering.”
“Don’t I get shoulder pads like y'all?”
Her eyes lit up, “you’re right! That’ll help a bit. Find some that are purple and fingerless gloves and boots. Then a yellow shirt. We’ll have Roxy help with your hair after close today!”
He smiled at her as she marched over to another side of storage. He got to work finding a pair of boots and a shirt, changing into the tank top making sure it fit, but it ripped in a few spots. Chica came back with shoulder pads and gloves, looking him over, cheeks pink again and she snickered.
“What?” Monty asked, surprised his temper wasn’t kicking in.
“That really doesn’t fit, but somehow I think it works,” she stared at him a little longer, and he flexed, getting her to snap out of her daze, flustered. He chuckled as she hurried over to the stairs, “I’ll have to grab Foxy’s sewing kit and work on this for you later. You should probably get changed into your golf stuff, we’re opening soon!”
She hurried up the stairs, and he followed behind her, trying not to get to close to her space. She was definitely sexy, but her excitement and bubbly attitude was adorable. Monty watched her turn her head, about to say something, and her boot snagged on the step causing her to trip up. He swung out an arm, wrapping around her front torso, making sure she got her balance back. It felt instinctive, but foreign. He had watched dozens of children, teens, and adults trip all over the PizzaPlex and Golf course and he would laugh at them, but with her he didn’t want her to get hurt.
“What were you gonna say Cher?” he smirked.
“Oh, uhm thank you,” she flushed, her face red, “uhm I was just going to ask when your break was. But, I totally forgot I have meetings and uhm-”
Chica stopped, either looking for the right word or embarrassed still, he couldn’t really tell. Monty raised an eyebrow, and she turned heading up the rest of the stairs. He smiled as she quickly took the garments and accessories from his arms, basically hiding her face. She must be embarrassed.
“I’ll see you at the Raceway later tonight?”
He nodded, “of course.”
And she smiled, hurrying away as the intercom called opening time in ten minutes. He felt something fluttery in his gut, and his face felt warm, and he didn't want to think about what that meant…
