Minor rant:

I’m irked at how much shit Vulcans have to put up with on a day to day basis in Starfleet. It seems half the time Spock, Tuvok, or a minor Vulcan Starfleet character is on screen they’re constantly being chided for not smiling, not joking, etc etc (looking at you especially, Neelix)

Like c’mon people. You’re in Starfleet. You know what a Vulcan’s deal is. Suppressing emotions is their choice and a huge part of their culture, if not the most important part. Seems really disrespectful. Why does half of Starfleet (primarily humans) take it upon themselves to try and change Vulcans and get them in “gotcha moments”

(btw this doesn’t excuse those superior arrogant Vulcans like Solok who constantly condescend to humans)

I totally empathize with Vulcans every time a character starts in on this bullsh*t. It’s the same feeling I get when I’m doing my own thing and minding my own business and extroverts decide to butt in because they’ve decided I’m not having fun the “correct” way.
