Didn't expect to relate to this album but wow we're really all grown ups with real grown up problems. Still processing a childhood that only gets further and further away. All watching our parents get old and feeling sad about it.

Some of these I don't even tell my own journal about, and yet halsey can effortlessly write into song. When she said confessional concept album, she meant it.

And it feels so classic halsey ya'know but the lyrics had me pausing to rewind on first listen

"I can always reassemble to fit perfectly for you" except it's me falling apart at the end of every weekday just to put myself together again the next morning

i love halsey because she'll write lyrics like "a girl like that is a mother, must be tough/ a problem child, i was rough/ but what do you do with a difficult grown up?" and then in another song she'll rhyme "michigan" with "bitch again"
