I realllly dont want to make this a reader-digest version of furry based fanfics but i need to voice my opinions

I usually am ok with omegaverse type world building but there is ONE thing i dread/hate about it.

The ignoring of power dymantics.

(Well more of it is real missed potential.)

A lot of "Uke" and "Seme" type works usually have people (or half-animals) find out what their second gender is around the age of 18.

But what they miss out is HOW someone feels about getting their results. By ignoring the power dymantic between a "Uke" or "Seme" youre really ignoring the JUICY bits.

Rather you read/write smut or fluff, or even if you actually write real books instead of fanfics.

Youre missing so much potential by ignoring how someone might feel as either being an uke/omega or seme/alpha. (Or beta if you actual put effort in writing them)

For example: A uke at first might feel scared or even depressed and how they could outgrow that feeling when with others of their type or when they actually date an alpha (or beta if you care)

Another example on the other side of the spectum would be: An alpha being thrilled or feeling super powerful for getting his typing and how they could change when they have to learn they arent the center of the universe or how they should treat others who are alot weaker then them.

Its LITERALLY endless situations and possiblities yet i only seen ONE story(minorly 2 bit the second one sucked) do this well.

Play around with it, even if it is just 1 scene of pain (or pleasure if you like that) it could really improve your story.

What if instead of the symbol of war being a soldier of infinite mass, muscles, and weapons: it was a old withering deadbeat who hides being those soldiers?

What if instead of the symbol of pestilence being a plague doctor or a poor diseased being: it was a loony shouting misinformation while being safe from the disease they don't even believe in?

What if instead of the symbol of famine being a skinny gauntly person or monster: it was a fancy-dressed CEO of mega-corporation lobbying politicians who will do nothing to stop the decay of our quality soil and planet?

What if instead of the symbol of death being a skeleton, reaper or black cat: it was a self-righteous person who values their opinion over your life, who doxes anyone they please regardless of that person's age, or intention?

Imma be honest Anon i really have 0 clue to what youre refering to, do you mean in my omega post about omega guys?? I am sorry you think that, i didnt think i would have to clear this up:

The emasulation and infantization of omega guys are a real issue. Omega boys should be treated and valued the same as alpha or beta boys not as a girl simply because they can give birth! If anything that is the most radical pro trans thing i've ever said.

Just because you can give birth doesnt automatically make you a woman, likewise not giving birth doesnt make you a man.

Terfs can suck on a egg, you need to reread that and i stand firm in what i said. Omega boys shouldnt be just protrayed as hyper-feminine, give me some varity.

(Also my "imma be honest" post are to paint a picture into the world of the omegaverse those were mostly jokes and thoughts i had about the whole verse that i had as a reader, you really shouldnt be looking into those post as a reflection of my character. Those are just late night dumb thoughts, dont think too much into them.)

In real life(yes it exist) woman(yes they exist) are about only 49% weaker then men on average.(shocker they arent made out of glass)

Now take that number now triple it.

In A/B/O you have 6 type of things you can be. From everything i read strengh usually goes as follows

α male

α female

β male or female

Omega guy

Omega girl

Now strengh doesnt really matter in the real life: as a society we've gotten weaker probably due to weapons and such.

But for Omegaverse? That could save an omegas life. (Most stories are set in nonmodern ages)

If you go through heat. Most people make it once a month so lets say that. Most people make it start at 18 but maturity for girls? Thats WAY lower.

[We're going to stick with 18 as really i hate to sexualize kids.(I know crazy.)]

So as an omega girl youre going through literal hell once a month, periods and heat, who knows maybe at the same time. That amount of pain would realitically land someone in the hostipal every time.

But i'll get back to heat later. Lets go into omega boys for a bit. So you have a slightly better life? Well yea but no where close to even "ok".

With an omega boy being extremely rare, but not impossible you have nearly no one to come to about any kind of problem. And i'm sure your parents would hate you. (Well at least that is what you'd think.)

To them and you, they spun a wheel and hit the anti-jackpot. Just as rare as the jackpot but instead of money you go straight into massive debt.

they have this kid, they probably thought would be an β or α , and is so rare that they can hardly find anyone that could help them raise.

So now what? If anything goes wrong, whose gonna know how to help? Most doctors would only have dealt with β boys or Omega girls

So at first maybe you get treated as one of the girls: Well....youre are a guy, youre going to notice youre treating them you like a girl. Which WILL hurt.

But what are you gonna do? Fight it? How. Protest? Yell? Its probably hard to be taken serious as an omega boy.

now back to heat. As an Omega (If youre not in the hosptial like noted before) Youre body CRAVES an α during heat.

if their as hellish as i worked out they would be; people are gonna treat you like α's OWN you even when youre not in heat.

And what are you gonna do about it? Fight it? You cant! as during heat you DO crave an α, Rather you like it or not.

That has to be so mentally painful to know/feel as if youre just property.

So now what? Well...

now it gets worse: It doesnt matter if youre in a FULLY committed relationship. High chance? Youre gonna cheat if youre partner isnt an α. Which your partner is just gonna have to deal with, probably in some intense therapy.

Well how about supressants?

Why not take medicine your whole life until you find your one true mate?(Hopefully an a α )

Well medicine wont effect social treatment. It also would really mess you up. Some stories even have those things just "Stop working" or cause you to go crazy. so....do you stay in your room? You stay in your little nest forever?

Well. I dont really have an answer to that.

Imma be honest part 2........Most Alphas would be horrible people

You ever been bullied? You ever knew someone who was? What did every bully have in common?

Were they Stronger? Bigger? Taller? All of the above? Well. Now imagine if that kid sometimes had the ability to make others follow his command at a whism?

Ok now imagine everyone inculding around you, being like "Oh that kid is the coolest" and "He's gonna be super strong!"

Even if they dont say it outloud? Everyone knows this is generally true. Theyre not only the "Best" class you could get. They're highly respected or feared.

As children knowing that their literally the coolest thing to be. Thats like spawning in rich.

You're IT. AND you know it. Telling a kid that would be a nightmare. But you dont even need to tell them, being treated differently ALONE would be enough. Most parents probably want one as who wouldnt want their kids to be THAT special???

Imagine being the neighbor's kid, youre a Ω or a β doesnt matter, and quickly your life os overshadowed as your new neighbor is an alpha.

Adults wanting you to befriend them if youre a β and if youre an Ω youre being either warned or encouraged to date them.

And the kid? Would be EATTING this up, who wouldnt? If youre the only alpha in miles EVERYONE wants you and EVERYONE wants to be you.

Alphas would be DEMON SPAWN. It doesnt matter how "Protective" their insticts are. Inflating someones ego that big (more so as children) is gonna do some damage. Maybe a few would grow out of it but most??? are gonna raise hell.

And whose gonna stop them? Teachers? Not if their a β or Ω which most are. Parents? Why would they? Their kids special, wouldnt they push for them to be treated as such?

Other then other alphas, (which most of the time their childhoods played out like that.)

So realitically most would be nightmares.

(I'm not even gonna add in how ruts and heats would upgrade these nightmares)

Youre in this world created a world built for "Reds and Blues" and Reds get allllllll these cool special traits that make them op and Blue's get different traits that creates "Balence" not that they make red less stronger theyre just general really weak but still enough uniquness to get by

None of that matters because its kinda sweet. A more yin and yang, literally your body and souls are BUILT for each other and the world is built for you to live either in peace with each other or cause all that juicy drama.

Now imgine youre a yellow in that same world. Thats it. Its like being the backround character in your own life.

Its weird. What is the point of even creating betas when they never play a big role? They have 0 speical qualitys(most of the time) and i dont see why they were created in the first place? Most A/B/O storys are just A/O.

Its gotten to the point where you SHOULD just replace them with either a A or O as nothing would change.

At best they get to be "Peacekeepers" which makes even less sense. cant Ω just do the peacekeeping??? Theyre already naturally nurturing so just nurture some peace??

The most offensive thing about it??? Thats the core of being a side character. Your job is just to just be used for the main characters to get over their issues. Its like they dont have their own lives.

I just dont get it.

If you set up so that betas have an actual point in your share what it is in your story. What makes them special? Why cant that same role be played by an α or Ω?
