Thinking thoughts on a hypothetical Magic: the Gathering Universes Beyond set based on RWBY. Specifically, mechanics.

My first idea was "Mechashift: [Cost]" with the effect "pay [cost], transform this Equipment. Activate only as a sorcery." Not sure if Mechashift weapons would have a casting cost on both sides as well or just the front.

My second idea was "Team [Name] -- If you control exactly four creatures that share this team, [effect]." So, for example, "Team RWBY -- If you control exactly four creatures that share this team, this creature gains +2/+2 and vigilance."

And then my thoughts turned to the Grimm. And I was struck by a question: would the Grimm get their own creature type or would it be simplest to just make them part of the Nightmare Creature Type? Either way, I'd utilize a returning mechanic in the form of Amass [Grimm/Nightmare], giving a Grimm player the ability to build a Grimm Army... token.

Might continue thinking on potential other mechanics, either new or returning. I did contemplate Devoid for the Grimm, but I think it doesn't quite fit so well, considering their origins.

The team mechanic could be made less parasitic by having it be: teamwork: if you control 4 or more creatures with teamwork this creature has the following abilities

So it’s not quite snowing on Churyumov–Gerasimenko, unfortunately; the white specks are artifacts of cosmic rays impinging on the CCDs in the camera, as well as a rotating starfield in the background (since the comet is spinning). A few specks could be dust. But, holy shit, that’s the surface of a comet. That’s a spot you could in theory cling to for dear life sit down on. The Cliffs of Comet 76p are a place. 

If that isn’t the neatest shit I don’t know what is.

It's been a minute posting stuff on my main, but one of my all time favourite RWBY/Nuts n' Dolts artist Etincelle posted their fancomic "Neon Lights" (based on the fanfiction, same name, by solarital) on their Youtube channel and I'm so happy!! It's one of my all time favourite NND fan comics that captures the pure softness and heart wrenching moments of the ship and I just love it so much! I'd wish they could archive the other RWBY/NND fanart + animations because their fanart looks amazing, but I also understand their wishes for wanting to put out more original content rather than be known as the 'NND fan artist' in the fandom or otherwise, so it's understandable.

Yep, the implication for me seems to be "he can't" is "he is not allowed" but when told to do so by a human (stupid sauce or the vegan vote) he can do it
