don’t mean to cold call, but were you ever into the datamining effort for the p5 prototype? I think everyone quit ages ago, but I might genuinely have a lead on akechi’s scrapped palace (https://www.tumblr.com/knightlittle/817526701392314368/back-in-january-2024-someone-going-by-the-name). I’m never online though, so i figured I should reach out to the local goro-boys and leave this in the hands of professionals

unfortunately no, i was not, i know absolutely nothing about datamining or the history behind discovering akechi's palace. what i know is very tangential knowledge basically boiling down to: his palace was a castle, they've found dialogue of shadows referring to him as akechi-sama, and there are files of fog textures that are likely connected to his palace.

however, all that said, the stuff you've found is fucking fascinating and totally fits with everything i've heard about his palace. i think you're totally right about these assets fitting way better with an akechi palace than anything else in the game.

maybe someone else in the community will see this post because i am super interested in your finds. if anyone could verify this and/or look more into it that would be super awesome! hopefully someone will see this who knows more than me and can give some insights.
