Laughing at that response he nodded. âThatâs very true, you do have an amazing form. Helping him place the barbell back he smiled. âIâm great thanks. Been seeing a lot more new faces around here so Iâm happy trade is picking up. Everyone seems happy too,â Sitting on the end of the bench he smiled at Izaiah. âHow about you? everything good I hope?â
âAhh... more asses to beat into shape. Iâm sure youâre loving every minute of it. After all, you know what they say. All personal trainers are really just sadists.â He joked with a playful wink. Finally he pushed himself up off the bench, relinquishing it to the next person only after he cleaned it off properly. âItâs good. Trying to keep myself in shape so I can impress the masses with some original dancing. A lot harder than one may expect.â
conorxjamesâ:
âWhat can I say Iâm the type to give compliments out to anyone even someone I just met.âConor smiled. âIâm Conor by the way.â
âPleasure, Conor.â Izaiah extended a hand out to the other with a warm smile. âNameâs Izaiah.â

Continuing to eat his food, he listened to the other male speak. Finally finishing his bite, Lance added, âYouâd be right and yeah, professor. Next semester I just gotta plan betterâŚalso what do you do?â
âI teach too. Kind of.â Izaiah smiled. âI canât say I mold minds the way a professor might... I teach dance. And I street dance to make a little extra money. Sometimes more than a little extra money. Drunk folks wondering around Michigan street on a Saturday can be very generous.â He laughed before taking another bite.

SHEP: You're not an all knowing oracle? I want a refund.
SHEP: I'm making about 18 cents an hour, so that something is right.
SHEP: Abysmal? You can blame my teacher for that one. đ
SHEP: Always for you
IZ: I wish. I would have a hell of a lot more money than I do now. I'd be the Seer to the stars, okay.
IZ: ...wait. You aren't /literally/ making .18 cents an hour, right? Right?
IZ: Shut up, loser. You can come by the studio I rent out whenever. I have it all day today for lessons.

âFine, if you insist. We we doing coffee after the show or some other time?â Benny asked with a grin. Of course, he was going to be easy on the other and not demand expensive coffee. Then again, the expensive coffees were usually more bitter than anything in his experience. âThatâs true. Instead of speaking to tens, or hundreds of people, radio can broaden it to the thousands or more. And Iâm on satellite radio, too. So that adds a bit more reach as well. Youâll do great, though. I know it. You seem like someone who will get the hang of it pretty easily.â
âIâm fine with either, if weâre being honest.â The response came quickly, accompanied by an easy smile. Bennyâs easy going nature was helping to put Izaiahâs own nerves to rest. âI do think you have more confidence in me than I do myself.â His fingers tapped idly against the desk area in front of himself, tracing slow languid patterns between the taps. A fidget- something to keep his hands busy. âI just... want to get the word out there. Iâm hoping to gather a fair amount of money to funnel into local AIDS research and programs.â
the-writerxmaceâ:
âWhy do you think I always have sweets when I have you come over?â he asked with a grin as he grabbed the plate of cookies and moved it towards the male. âYou can have all of this and take it home with you.â
âThat... is an incredibly valid point.â Izaiah let out a soft laugh then cleared his throat. He reached out, snatched up a cookie, and flipped it between his fingers before taking a bite. A beat later he let out a soft moan. âThese are...amazing. You and your kiddo make some fantastic cookies, you know that?â

SHEP: Think I need another lesson.
SHEP: I'm making about as much as a sign wielder right now.
SHEP: Maybe less.
SHEP: Definitely less.
SHEP: [ TYPING..]
SHEP: How much does a sign wielder make?
IZ: Dude, I literally have no idea.
IZ: Google says like 18 an hour?
IZ: Something tells me you probably aren't even making that.
IZ: Because if you're trying to dance, you're skills are still abysmal.
IZ: Of course I mean that with love.
IZ: When are you free?
bennyonthemicâ:
When Benny had heard that a dancer in his community was holding a local fundraiser, he jumped at the chance to have the young man on the show. As Illinois was his home state, and Chicago his home, he was deeply rooted in the community. âI like coffee, but thereâs no need to owe me one. I care about my community. No matter if itâs the mayor coming in to speak, or anyone else.â Benny gave the young man a smile. âIf youâre nervous, itâs okay to be. Everyone gets a little overwhelmed at first going on the radio.â
âThere may not be a need, but I want to. To show gratitude.â Izaiah smiled warmly at the other male before he took a seat across from him, settling into the chair. It was strangely comfortable here, despite the nerves that were forcing their way through his system. It was strange, really. One would think Izaiah was use to it- performing in front of streets full of people day in and day out. Teaching classes to make ends meet. He was in front of people all the time, and radio added an extra layer of anonymity. But even still, the nerves where there. âItâs just... weird. I shouldnât be nervous. And yet...â A weak laugh escaped. âI guess itâs cause radio has a much broader scope, huh?â
thelanceperryâ:
Nodding his head, the man offered the other a soft grin before adding, âI donât mind at all. Same here. A man needs to be able to eat his food in peace, dammit.â He then went to find a place to sit and soon welcomed the other next to him.
Izaiah followed and sat down at the table opposite of the other man. âSo...â He laid his food out, tugging it from the carry out bag to set before himself. âI take it you donât get uninterrupted lunches often, based on what youâve said. Professor or something, right?â
dean-lockhartâ:
Dean arched a moderately amused brow at the other manâs⌠realization that not everyone seemed so attatched to marketing ploys. While he had to admit, it was a little amusing to see the the other manâs world view apparently come crashing down, part of him did feel the need to walk him through it a bit more. âIâm am saying the products in the boxes are literally the same exact thing, with the same exact product,â he decided to leave out the fact that the man seemed hopelessly susceptible to the marketing systemâs brand of manipulation. âNo, not at all. Youâre just really that normal, honestly. Thereâs a reason why that brand is on the top shelf, and that one is on the second to last one. And youâre basically it.â
A soft, subdued laugh escaped Izaiah and his head bobbed slowly. âRight. So the word gullible is written on the ceiling, and Iâm the one who actually looks up. Very... blunt way of putting it.â He glanced up then. âWhich I can appreciate. But my brain still screams they taste different.â He reached up, tapping his temple delicately. âI suppose my brain never properly evolved. But hey, at least Iâm not of the Tide Pod eating generation, right? We just ate spoonfuls of cinnamon and choked.â He reached out then, finally selecting a box and slipping it into the basket hanging from his arm. A purple one, it seemed.

The gym had been buzzing for a weekend and Taavi was excited to see a lot of regulars and newcomers too. Walking around the main weights room he greeted people before stopping as he saw Izaiaha on the bench. Standing beside his friend he smiled. âHello, your form is looking amazing today.â
âMy everything is looking amazing today, letâs be real.â Izaiah grinned, though the expression fell away a moment later when he grunted in effort to push the barbell up again, away from his chest. Slowly he moved to lower it back into the stand, then sat up, hands falling flat on the bench seat beneath himself. âAnd how are we today, Taavi?â
the-writerxmaceâ:
âAm glad you could come over,â he said with a smile on his face as he moved out of the way so that his neighbor could come in. âOllie and I made cookies and a lot that we canât finish.â @izaiahxking
âWell, let me tell you. The trip here was brutal.â Izaiah joked as he slipped past Mason and into his home. âA whole ten steps. Let me tell you, ridiculous. The traffic...â He grinned, then glanced around. âBesides, you know all you had to say was the word âcookieâ and I was on my way. You canât keep me away from sweets.â
@bennyonthemic
âYou know, I really appreciate you doing this.â Izaiah murmured as he stepped into the studio, his gaze flickering around the boothâs walls. His first time in a radio station and it was... daunting. So much soundproofing across the walls and the rig for the mic at the center of it all. âI get that covering some random street dancerâs attempt at local fundraising isnât the most glamorous... so I really do appreciate it. I owe you like... a coffee or something. You like coffee?â
