1. I truly believe that if you're writing your OT3 in a God-honoring effective way, none of the characters should feel like they're 'just there.' There's a dynamic to address between each pairing and between all three characters combined and it's just like any other ship in that way, just with more legwork.

2. I love Stede Bonnet. Steddyhands would truly not be the ship it is without him.

3. Steddyhands being described as 'EdIzzy and Stede's Just There' is objectively one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Because yeah. Ed and Izzy have twenty-to-thirty some odd years of deep deep codependency behind them and Stede is a quite literal golden retriever who comes into the game well after halftime, offering refreshments and neck massages. He would like to participate! The dynamic doesn't work without him, but he's also coming at this from a place of "My boyfriend has a husband? Well that's TWO boyfriends. Everything's coming up Stede."

Once again I am begging everyone to understand that Izzy wants to fuck Ed so bad it makes him look stupid and THAT IS WHY he looks so stupid in season one. The things he says to Lucius? Projection. The things he says to Stede? JEALOUSY. That man is so down bad, bricked up, FUCKING WET for Ed Teach that it's killed all his braincells. And this is all happening, I am absolutely convinced, DESPITE the fact that Izzy has fucked Ed already and has been doing so for years. They're going through the world's worst and most dramatic dry spell and Izzy's going to make it everybody else's problem. Ed's traipsing around trying to close their open marriage AROUND Stede and Izzy's drowning in a horny Hell of his own design.
