I saw someone asking why the Phantom of the Opera is in the catacombs with the other monsters when he's not a monster, he's just a guy with a facial deformity. I can't find the post now but like, Phantom is getting a pretty sweet deal here. He gets to live underground and play music all day just like he did before, except now he gets to chill with a bunch of monsters who won't be mean to him and he doesn't have to hide from people anymore. In fact, people are brought in to listen to his music. And all this rent-free! Why WOULDN'T he want to be there?

It’s OUT! I had the incredible privilege of getting to design a number of characters for the new Scrooge: A Christmas Carol animated musical on Netflix, including the man himself! I’ve always loved this story deeply (some of you might remember a few of my personal designs of the ghosts from back around 2014, which actually directly helped get me the job on the film!). Getting to dig in and explore the cast was a character design dream come true, and I gather there’s been a lot of love for the old grump’s design- which makes me so happy I can’t even tell you.
