OP certainly doesn’t speak for me, John wasn’t a perfect father but then no such father exists, John did the best he could considering how crazy his life became due to Mary remaining tight lipped on the world of hunting.

You can’t use headcanon to justify the claim that John was a shit parent, especially when most headcanons come from destihellers who skipped the first three seasons for the idiot angel.

And how dare you insinuate that had Dean been dfab that his life would be worse based on John’s treatment, what proof do you have that John would treat a girl bad?

Male or female Dean is John’s child and John would have loved them and raised them correctly and given them the tools for survival and success against the apocalypse BS. A double X chromosome wouldn’t change John’s outlook.
