When he saw her face, he nearly gasped in amazement, looking down at the woman with something akin to awe. The textbooks didn’t do her justice- the nose, her lips, the stern eyes, more beautiful than any artist could depict. Yet, all things he saw his entire childhood, riding the face of his mother. She looked remarkably like her. He mused quietly, unaware for too long that she had spoken, and finally, he found his voice as he knelt beside her. She was certainly the picture of beauty, but there was that bite that he knew so well. It was almost as if it was his mother, rather than his grandmother, staring back at him, and he could have laughed at the realization.

“We’re on a Republic transport vessel heading for Corellia. We should be touching down in Kor Vella in an hour or so. You need medical attention, and there’s no doubt they’re the best in the sector.” His voice was calm, even, without even a hint of the usual snark or comedy. He spoke softly, slowly, knowing that in her state, her vision and hearing were likely impaired. “My name is Jacen Solo, son of Leia Organa-Solo, nephew of Luke Skywalker. And… grandson of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala Naberrie.” He hesitated at the last part, unsure of how she would react. He expected her to lash out, and his fingers twitched as he felt for the comfort of the Force surrounding them.

Padmé frowned, staring at him in disbelief. “But that can’t be. I only just had my children, and—” Her words died as she remembered.

Carbonite. Hibernation. Stasis.

“No.” She choked on the one syllable, tears flowing freely and her body shaking with the full force of her sobs. “No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no…” He was lying. He had to be lying. This was a trick, a trap by Palpatine, trying to find the twins.

“Get out!” she screamed at the boy. “I won’t be broken so easily, you tell Sheev that!”

Jacen felt a wave of confliction through the force, the feeling she felt shared with him unbeknownst to the woman. There was a ripple of something before the anger reared its head, and the young man jolted back in shock. How does one respond to such an accusation? Reflecting her anger wasn't even on his mind, and he took several steps towards the door.

"I'm sorry, Padmé. This was not my intention. I didn't..." He calmed himself, taking a moment to feel the flow of power around him. The force was calming, reassuring, even where he own words were not.

"You'll be left well enough alone the rest of the flight to Corellia. Meals will be left for you, but you won't be bothered until you wish to be seen. I implore you not to ignore medical attention, that long in stasis can have adverse affects."

Rey watched out the viewports of the Star Destroyer as her master’s ship docked. He had been gone for some weeks now, only sparing the briefest amount of time to talk to his apprentice on the comms. She had been instructed to train as normal and await his return on the Finaliser. Of all the ships and bases that the First Order had, this was her least favourite. Too many busy-bodies for her liking. She would be glad to have her Master back. 

She began to the docking bay, waiting until her Master departed his ship. Without Kylo Ren at his side, she noted. She did her best to remain emotionless as she had been taught. Despite their alliance, the Knights of Ren and their apprentice wanted to remain unattached and mysterious to the First Order, not to give anything away. She followed Caedus silently until they reached their rooms, an area of the ship cordoned off for their use. Rey couldn’t help herself, rushing forward to hug her Master. “Please say we’re leaving soon.” She begged him. “Colonel Hux looks at me like I’m an insect he’d like to crush under those ridiculous boots of his.”

If there was anything Caedus hated more than disobedience, it was probably coming back to the Finalizer for any reason. The only thing that made it bearable was the knowledge that this would be a brief trip, a moment to come gather this things, his apprentice, and return to the asteroid that had become his base many years ago. He waited impatiently as Kylo's pilot docked the ship, giving him a bow when the airlock had been initiated, and watched apprehensively as the man left the ship. Scant few had seen his face, leaving a trail of fear following him wherever he went.

It was no surprise when his apprentice greeted him with an emotionless stare, following him obediently. The door to their quarters opened with a violent hiss, and the second the door closed, he pulled his helmet off his head with a sigh. A breath later, his apprentice's arms were wrapped around his middle with a huff from his lungs. "Yes. We'll be leaving as soon as possible." He replied lazily. "This place smells like piss and disappointment. We'll be home soon, have no fear. Use that anger, my apprentice, remember how much stronger than him you are."
