this is just what it feels like to be on the internet in your late 30s after spending most of your life on it.
this is just scrolling through tumblr
I'm going to be incorporating "We no longer dare to imagine better worlds" into my vocabulary starting now
i do not ghost purposely i just have no idea what to say ever
and i have no concept of passage of time
actually on the tube the announcement would be
'laduesangennlemunPSZZZCVZCAVGVVDvvhaharedsingalBVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVDHBB"
Who's my favorite street fighter charachter? Well it has to be;
hi its nice to meet you :) (uses my ability to implant memories of us being childhood friends into your subconscious so you already like me) i mean hey its been so long howve you been hows your mom (remembers your mom died when you were very young and i had implanted memories of comforting you at the funeral) uhhh i mean your other mom (implants memories of your dad transitioning)
I worked at a McDonald's as a cashier in high school and it was during a time when they changed their POS system (point of sale, not piece of shit) so everything was now in a slightly different, less logical place, but I was working 20ish hours a week so I picked it up really quickly
Anyway I was out with my friend in the next town over and we went to a McDonald's because she really wanted an ice tea and we go through the drive through. The man greets us out of the little speaker and asks for our order and she says "Hi! Could I get a large sweet ice tea please?"
Silence.
Longer silence.
And I knew in my heart what was happening.
So I leaned over and said, "It's on page two of drinks, under juice, then the third one down."
Another much shorter silence.
Then:
"What the - how the hell did... Uh. I mean. Thank you?"
And it's been literally ten years but I'm still riding the high from that.
Ninety percent of most magic consists of knowing one extra fact.

"If voting changed anything they wouldn't let people do it-" grabs your face THEY DIDN'T JUST "LET" PEOPLE DO IT, MOST PEOPLE COULDN'T VOTE FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS. PEOPLE OF COLOR ONLY GOT THE FULL RIGHT TO VOTE 50 YEARS AGO IN THE US, THATS BARELY A GENERATION.
IF IT DIDNT MATTER AT ALL WHY WOULD THEY SPEND SO MUCH TIME GERRYMANDERING THE SHIT OUT OF EVERYWHERE?? WHY CAN'T FELONS VOTE?? WHY CANT PUERTO RICO VOTE? WHY DO THEY KEEP SWITCHING DATES AND LAWS AND TIMES AND WHATEVER THEY POSSIBLY CAN TO STOP PEOPLE FROM VOTING?? WHY DO THEY MAKE EFFORT AT ALL??
BEING DISILLUSIONED IS A REASONABLE RESPONSE. BUT PEOPLE FOUGHT AND DIED AND ARE STILL FUCKING DYING FOR THAT RIGHT, DONT SPIT IN THEIR FACE.
The best way to control an election is not to fake votes, but to prevent people from voting in the first place.
The voting age was 21 in the US until 1970. In 1776 only land owning rich men could vote. If voting didn't matter they wouldn't fight so hard to stop it.
I’m screaminggg 😭🤣
