A needle in a haystack || Joey Thomason
Jack wandered back and fort inside his office, curtains closed, papers scattered all over the desk and floor. Sleep hadn't soothed him this night either and he was running out of time. He walked over to the wall calendar and looked at it again, inspecting it like it was a mortal enemy. Two days until full moon. Two days. It wasn't enough time, far from it, and he still had much to prepare before he was ready to take on the transformation. He sighed and sat down in his brown leather chair. "Thomason!" he yelled, rubbing his temples with his index fingers. Where was that lousy chameleon?
He closed his eyes. The panic room was all done and the rest of the pack was informed about the coming event. Still, Jack was more worried about the full moon than he had ever been. For nearly 700 years he had lived with this curse, and yet he wasn't used to it happening. He needed more time, he needed freedom. But most of all, he needed to keep track of that pale she-devil while he was locked away, biting his own skin to bloody shreds. He got up from the chair and slammed his fist against the wooden desk. "Thomason, you worthless reptile! Come here already before I make you into chameleon stew!"
