Blarney Castle antique bronze bezel necklace What an interesting story behind the castle and the famous blarney stone! So, for those of you who don't know, the man who built the castle used this magical stone in one of the walls. He was walking along one day worried about his upcoming trial when he ran into a goddess who told him if he kissed the stone he would have the gift of eloquence. And supposedly it worked for him. I'll have to ask my friend Dave if it worked, he's the only one I personally know who's kissed the blarney stone.

Here’s some of our new constellation pendants we’ve been working. These are based on the famous star maps created by astronomer Johannes Hevelius in the 17th century. We’re very excited to use his artwork to make these pendants! In addition to the traditional 12 zodiac signs we are also including other constellations, like Andromeda pictured here. We are also going to make a pendant out of the lunar map Hevelius created.

Super sexist heart map!! This is a new necklace we made based on a vintage image we found. It was created by the artist D.W. Kellogg in the mid 1800’s and is titled “Map of the open country of a woman’s heart: Exhibiting it’s internal communications, and the facilities and dangers to traveler’s therein”. I knew the opinion of woman wasn’t great in those times but…wow!! Although there is love of kindness, I can’t get over the emphasis on superficial things too…apparently this man thought woman were very vain.

This reminds me of a project my dad made for me and my sister Katie once.  He took to wire hubcaps and put them together.  Then I took green modeling clay and made tiny aliens and put them inside.  Then he threw the hubcap spaceship in the air like a Frisbee and we stood at the ready to point as he took a picture.  good childhood memories!

Flag of Blackbeard Edward Teach I just recently learned there is a TV show on HBO called #BlackSails I saw a preview and there was Blackbeards flag! This is a necklace of the same flag that we made a few months back.

orange and brown striped vintage style feather earrings Here’s one of our new pairs of feather earrings! We found vintage images of feathers and used them on inkjet shrink plastic. We also used stainless steel for the French ear wire so they’re hypoallergenic!

TARDIS pendant So we had to do the TARDIS pendant! Lot’s of Dr. Who fans out there, plus who wouldn’t want this around their neck? We should probably make some earrings too. The image was taken by a tourist of a recreations of the TARDIS in London.
