Girl’s worth fighting for~
To be honest, Tokoyami has no basis to be making a call as to whether Hawks did the right thing or not by killing Twice. He wasn’t there and he hasn’t heard Hawks’ side of the story to even judge that for himself.
The bigger problem here is that Tokoyami is associating righteousness and the deserving of saving. Tokoyami’s logic is that Hawks should live because he is good and right rather than Hawks should live because he is a person in danger and Tokoyami’s mentor regardless of his guilt. It would have been an improvement if Tokoyami was given the space to untangle these concepts because it would have fit nicely into the themes of Act Three.
That being said, Twice became “a good person” in Hawks’ eyes because there were friends who believed in him. To become a “good person” like Twice, developing relationships with others who believe in his potential is a start.
If you would like my two cents I’d like to add on to this.
Tokoyami is very different than most of class A in that he doesn’t see killing villains as bad. Tokoyami is surprisingly selfish and has very black and white thinking. He thinks like this: “the people who are worth saving most are the people I am close to.” He is well known for losing control over one of his friends getting hurt. Sometimes it is shown as guilt for not being able to protect them or it’s simply rage towards the villain who caused it. Either way tokoyami places more value of life on his friends than a random villain.
Of course he still believes villains CAN be redeemed but if they are hurting innocent people he will do what he has too. This is the exact same thinking as hawks. So of course in his mind he thinks hawks did the right thing, because he would do the same. He cares about hawks more than twice so he automatically believes hawks is in the right.
Dark shadow is blind and grabbed the wrong guy
Tinyyami in maid dress! It took forever to make but so worth it. Dark shadow is wearing a traditional Spanish dress borrowed from another doll so I didn’t make it but had to make a lot of adjustments.
I loved making them a little tea party too 🖤💜

Another horror au (I think)
This one is the quirk doomsday au. Quirks become some powerful and out of control in the next generation that they completely take over. Small losses of control can lead to desolation of entire city’s and hero society starts to fall apart. Only those with the strongest quirks can survive. Tokoyami is one of the last surviving heroes and still trying to keep the peace when he gets fatally injured. Dark Shadow moves on reflex and some instinct awakens within them.
Shadow turns into a cocoon around tokoyami and transfers their dark energy into his body to heal him. It’s technically transferring to his mutation quirk tho so he…looks different now. Tokoyami and dark shadow are both stuck in a coma state only moving instinctively. In order to keep Fumi alive though shadow needs more nutrients to fuel the healing process. So they start hunting every living creature within reach.
They establish a “territory” for themself by sending tendrils through the ground. All the most powerful survivors form their own territories as well. If someone were to be strong enough to defeat dark shadow tokoyami might finally awaken.
