lowk donât think ill ever get over how much they massacred daredevil like good god i wish they just kept it dead, genuinely embarrassing.
really struck by how claudia grieving madeleine seems to be the thing that gets most to lestat during the seance. he only starts to cry when claudia tells them that she canât find her companion, thatâs sheâs been alone this entire time. and of course this is what would get to him. the thing he fears the most is loneliness. so knowing that his daughter found a companion only to lose her again in death. itâs devastating
Every piece of Discourse iâve seen on The Vampire Lestat:
Can you believe the mass murdering vampires who, have I mentioned, drink human blood and have been killing for centuries for both fun and sustenance, did something un-woke
Or
Can you believe the addict piece of shit vampire whose kids and ex wives wonât talk to him who betrays the trust of everyone who gives it to him and is dating the evil mass murdering vampire who killed him is saying something un-woke
in the days since the finale leak, all i keep wondering is how a piece of media like iwtv of all things seems to have attracted a large majority fanbase consisting of people who are desperate to view every part of the show (down to the actual actors and writers, which is grim beyond words) through a victim/abuser mindset. it kills me that weâre in this tenderqueer era of faux-counter-culture media consumption where the most easily offended people on the planet are willing to watch a show with graphic violence, incest, and abuse, but only if they can easily parse whoâs right and whoâs wrong in every scene and relationship, as if thatâs even close to the point of it all. and to then have the audacity to not just object to that, but also to be up in arms over cruel shit the characters are saying to each other? in the fictional universe they all exist in as terrible, awful people? the game is so, so gone. if you would like to watch something that doesnât challenge your black-and-white moral framework in even the slightest way, can i suggest daytime TV? iâve also heard that childrenâs books tend to clearly lay out their moral lesson in the final few pages lest you get confused and think the author condones the big bad wolf eating grandma, which may provide a clarity some of you are in such desperate need of
all these fake claudia fans only liking the infantilised version of her in louisâ head seeing her rage and resentment towards louis and crashing out over it in real time is hilarious. also just the lack of media literacy all around, no, claudia saying she hates louis more than her rapist isnât misogynistic. for one, itâs a very real way victims in real life feel. resentment grows more to those who were passive in their abuse than those that actually did the act. itâs spoken out of years of anger built up towards a father figure who continuously failed her, and it isnât how she really feels. sheâs speaking out of anger, not out of true feelings.
how stupid do you have to be to not get that, when in like episode one of season one daniel points out to louis that he spoke angrily about lestat in 73 only to change his words in their present day interview. that is because he was speaking out of years of built up resentment and hatred towards lestat in 73 and had processed it more since then. characters in fiction donât always mean what they say.
out of all things I CANNOT stand people saying they âmischaracterisedâ or âdisrespectedâ claudiaâs character with her seance scene. no, YOU mischaracterised her and disrespected her the way she has been canonically all her life! of course she fucking hates louis! she hates and loves both her fathers at the same time! thatâs kind of their entire dynamic!! thatâs kind of IWTV as a whole!

Why the fuck are you people watching Euphoria? Do you need help?
At the moment you make a critique of patriarchy suddenly all men are black brown disabled mentally ill poor immigrant queer refugee polyamorous diabetic toothless from a developing country and all women are white rich warlord 1stworlders
the unfortunate side effect of developing a more critical eye for fan behaviour as a product of societyâąïž is that new fan takes on a piece of media become fairly predictable. oh the white guy with daddy issues is your favourite? you think the asian man is an adorable subby cinnamon roll? you think the woman in a position of authority is either mom-coded or a total bitch? say less
Jon Bernthal willingly uses his platform to lend a voice to abusers of women, push the zionist propaganda that Palestine were equal oppressors, and be an egregious cop bootlicker that openly praised cops wearing the Punisher skull.
Triple threat of dogshittery but this app babies and protects him to death and acts like none of these are verifiable from his own fucking social media and podcast đ„Ž
There is really something strange about how female celebrities that show their true colors like Sydney Sweeney gets easily lambasted but their equally gross male celebrity counterparts that are unapologetic with their dogshit stances like Bernthal is given endless grace and protected. Why not keep the same energy? Wonder why.
