I can be alone with you here" is one of the most romantic lines ever, but then they followed it up with Spike telling her "Buffy, if you're in … if you're in pain … or if you need anything… or if I can do anything for you.." and they really expected us to think they were bad together and shouldn't be a couple

Tabula Rasa kiss is actually insane in a context of spuffy relationship cause Buffy is so afraid throughout all this affair, that people will find out and judge. and yet she clearly went after Spike that night and kissed him in a middle of crowd in Bronze of all places. the club in which they both are regulars and where they can be easily recognized if not by friends then by other regulars and you know people may gossip even if it's Sunnydale and nobody tends to care unless it's a matter of mass slaughter. and yet they kiss in a not so dark conner like he's just a boy and she's just a girl and they met on the dancefloor. so normal for an outside observer. such a desperate clinging to normality in a context.

All the portrait line work completed for my redraw of a very famous Buffy poster we all know and love. I needed it redrawn w/ Spike & Tara + more Dawn!

It’s been just over 5 years since my last time opening my sketchbook, but my newfound low-key obsession with BTVS and Spike being my favorite character led to this happening… I don’t really do copying-photos art much these days cos I prefer the more original compositions and painterly style I can do digitally but I’m really happy with this and it’s nice to know I haven’t lost the skill!
