I’m rereading the outsiders for the first time in 5 year’s after being obsessed with it from like 13-15, and reading it now has really put into perspective for me how young Darry is. Like I turned 20 a month ago, and if my parents died, I have to start taking care of my two younger siblings, and we’re poor living in fuck ass Oklahoma, I’d just kill myself.
