another shin megami tensei doll! rangda is one of my favorite demons, and was a lot of fun to make. didn't follow the reference 100% because i wanted to use some trinkets & beads on the skirt instead of sculpting everything from scratch.
kikuri-hime has always been one of my favorite smt demons, both because of her design and for being a very solid early-midgame party member -> i decided to make a doll of her. did not go for complete game accuracy because i wanted to play with some materials i had on hand.
I thought we were good as gravy, but you just wanted to get your pey wet

The conclusion, and one of the harder hitting parts of the article. Solving poverty does not require complex solutions and long timeframes.

i don't care if it's nazis, mormons, or a bunch of misguided autistic people. if anyone ever tries to tell you your soul is from another planet and you're actually part of the class of impressive people that secretly did everything cool in the world but is now extinct and lives on through your broken genome, you RUN. YOU WILL RUN AWAY. YOU WILL SPRINT FULL SPEED AWAY FROM THAT.
grabs you by the shoulders listen. listen to my words. i understand the urge to make fanfiction about yourself and to find a reality in which you're super awesome and great and everyone who hates you is wrong and dumb. i get it. you're better than that. you can love yourself without putting other people down, dehumanizing and generalizing, and retaliating against your oppressors.
there's no NPCs. there's no aliens coming to save us. we're not the next step in human evolution. our hyperconnected nervous systems give us terrible sensory overwhelm more often than they make us geniuses. neurotypical people are sentient, conscious, aware people who are capable of understanding you. we're more the same than we are different. we're more the same than we are different. we're more the same than we are different.
Also stay away from people who say shit like "sexual attraction and romance addles the mind and makes you crazy and irrational and this is why being aro/ace makes you intellectually superior." I've seen that a couple times times on this hellsite. Stay away from anyone who tries to convince you that your racial identity/cultural identity/gender identity/sexual orientation/neurodivergence/any other intrinsic quality makes you a member of some master race that is inherently superior to the other humans.
You are not immune to exceptionalist propaganda.

#it is somewhat daunting to grapple with the fact that every single human on the planet is exactly as special as every other #there's no story. there's no protagonist. there are only billions of narratives playing out all around you #in all their disorganized mundane chaos #and you are just one of them #it can be daunting and you don't have to dwell on it but you do have to know it's true #also just. there is not a single group out there that is Better than every other #that's fascism babes! #and I am not being hyperbolic!#the fascist ideology is 'we the in-group are objectively better than [insert convenient scapegoat minority] #but they are STEALING OUR [jobs/resources/women/etc] so we need to BAND TOGETHER against these dangerous illicit forces!' #I'm not saying indigo children conspiracies are fascism. what I am saying is they're the same structure of worldview #there is a Special Group and there's everyone else and the Special Group deserves better #(oh and also you should believe all the esoteric stuff our glorious leaders say even though it contradicts science/the news/reality) #so just. be careful out there.
The Laughing Man - Confessions of a Murderer (GDR, 1966) Posing as West German journalists, East German documentary filmmakers Heynowski and Scheumann pay a visit to the notorious Nazi-turned-mercenary Siegfried “Kongo” Müller, pump him with booze, and get him to talk. Müller fought in Congo’s civil war in the 1960s, and the more Pernod he imbibes, the more fascinating this interview becomes. He asserts that blacks are no better than animals and shares his dream of enlisting in the U.S. Army to fight communism in Vietnam and beyond. He flaunts his military paraphernalia, including the Iron Cross he was awarded in Germany in 1945, and proceeds to deny his earlier statements about civil killings, the ethics of war, and the defense of Western libertarian values. This documentary tour-de-force is interspersed with pictures of Müller and his comrades proudly posing with severed skulls, and it touches on other Nazis who are active in Africa as well as American world dominance.
Watching the full documentary is worth while and changed me as a person
