I think the evil in you is stronger than you know.

Perhaps I have been right about you all along. The good in you may be stronger than you know.

This little conversation encapsulates what good foils Chase and Omi make for each other.

Chase, to Omi: "I think you're trying so, so hard to be better than you truly are. Because you want to prove to yourself that you really are meant to be good, the greatest good, and all your lonely efforts and isolation and everything in your life that's led you here hasn't been a waste."

Omi, back to Chase: "Well, I think you're trying so, so hard to be worse than you truly are. Because you want to prove to yourself that you really are meant to be evil, the evilest evil, and all the choices you made and everything you sacrificed to get this far hasn't been a waste."

And the kicker is they're both absolutely correct.

They both want to see themselves as this perfect pinnacle of good and this perfect pinnacle of evil. And they're both just more grey than they want to let themselves accept. Which chafes up against the fact that they both see so much of themselves in each other.

And despite their self-confidence, they respect each other's opinions.

So the only person who shakes their belief that they truly are the pinnacle of everything they say they are, is each other.

But…I’ve been throwing around a not-AU not-reboot idea of my own take with Jack and his own mini Heylin force and it’d have some character development…but anyhow, I was thinking on it some and making notes and couldn’t help but think of my girl Catra because…well, because!!!
