I am genuinely THE clown because i still believe it is POSSIBLE that hotd will end with Rhaenyra and Alicent faking their deaths and running away together. I really do. They already had one gay couple fake their deaths and run off. I know it's a tragedy in the stories. But what if. What if they did what they talked about as kids. What if they declared the throne a phyrric victory and let it all go. What if they were finally on the same page at the same time. What if it was foreshadowing instead of dramatic irony. What if the love that was there made a difference. What if they lived past the end of their story. Together. In peace.

This small, tangible connection in the handover of Otto’s ring. The way Alicent doesn’t simply pluck the ring from Rhaenyra’s fingers but instead caresses and rests their fingers together and holds the moment- Rhaenyra holding the moment as well - is TOO MUCH.

How many times have I watched this moment and this gif? The answer is “yes”.

The Rhaenicent of it all on House of the Dragon is the backbone of this entire show. I fear the abundance we are receiving in S3 is an apology for the absolute devastation and grief that awaits us as the show comes to its close.

And you know what? OPEN THE RHAENICENT FIREHOSE AND DROWN ME FIRST if it means moments like this.

It is a fevered dream to watch Olivia/Alicent and Emma/Rhaenyra interact this season. The layers and layers of history bleeding into this S3 is an actual work of art.

It's so funny to me that Daemon and Mysaria are competing and arguing about who Rhaenyra likes/trusts more meanwhile she's smiling about and defending the woman who lied to her and is in a war directly against her because she visited her once and said something nice. Not only that she takes her prisoner but not really, like "yes unfortunately I do have to capture you but I'm going to give you everything you want and visit you all the time and while I'm at it I will return your fathers ring and sensually brush fingers with you in a very gay way." It's really so hard to tell who is the favorite here.
