I’ve been out of the loop…but what happened to the Jack White Fandom?
we’re still here, just fewer memes

I mean jack white went from a raw purest blues man with soul to a another fad following synth artist and it’s sad
Who gives a fuck? Synth is just as good as being a blues artist.Â
Just because it isn’t made with a raggedy ass guitar from Goodwill, doesn’t mean it isn’t good. The very fact that he did that means that he isn’t as closed minded as he once was. Music isn’t about what its made on, its about what makes you feel an emotional connection to a song.Â
His sound has just changed. Almost all musicians have done that, and so has Jack. I don’t think he’s sold out, just experimenting. His music, alike he, is still very raw. Same Jack, different sound.
I can understand that.. personally I'm not very fond of his newer music. I think it's too clean. Blunderbuss was okay, but his albums since have progressively gotten farther away from his older stuff, and I don't think this is for the best ? I miss the ultra raw emotion found in his early music and I don't as easily see it in his newer work. Maybe selling out was a little harsh but his evolution as an artist personally concerns me. This is man who frequently talked about limiting the use of too many extra components in music because it takes away from the soul of it. Now he continues to complicate his music with more synth which seems a little contradictory to what he valued as a musician previously... I guess I liked the more closed minded jack white at the end of the day. I think it showed confidence, value, and vision in his art. It'll be interesting to see how his music continues to change...
